:( Grrr, another day with no shopping achieved after work as was exhausted despite having 9 hours' sleep and been driven b*ts**t crazy by a succession of IT faults. Am in no fit temper to be engaging with the wunnerful world of capitalism today, particularly as I will have to go into department stores.

I will now take myself off for a rest as am almost on the verge of having a screaming fit from sheer frustration and no fit company for you lovely peeps. :p:o

In the meantime, I suggest you use both pillows at the same time to compensate for their flatness.

Hi just butting in as I wanted to ask what does NCT stand for please?

Also, if this makes sense, do you use a v shaped pillow like a v or a ^? I've never had one before!

    Thanks.

    Hi,
IMHO it's more comfortable to use the v shaped pillow ^.

I'm already finding KM advantageous: I've found some lovely sandles, which I completely forgot I owned. The ones I'd been wearing had already died, but I'd been keeping them until I could replace them. So when I came across these new ones I was really surprised and delighted :j I only have a few pairs of shoes, so this was a real surprise.

My other benefit is bringing a summer coat out of storage which I haven't worn in years :j Talk about shopping from you wardrobe :) I haven't that many clothes or shoes, so to find things I'd forgotten I had is even more surprising.

I've now finished KM my clothes, and will move onto books in a few days.
  • This pillow talk has been very useful so thanks! I'm very hyper mobile and struggle with lower back pain, I think I'm selling myself short with my Ikea number!
If anyone needs a laugh please conjure the mental image of me frantically trying to rescue a large laundry bag from a tree across from my house today, that my thoughtful freecycle recipient assumingly dumped when they picked something up. PS I'm not very tall.:rotfl:

:) I'm ahead of you there, not ideal, but will do as a stop-gap. Depending on how the day pans out, I may be passing a TK Maxximus in shopping hours with time to pop in to look for pillows. Or there may not be time, but I'll keep it in mind.

Grinning at the lost-and-found clothing and footwear. Mum does that. The latest thing was a pair of slippers, completely unworn and still boxed, which she has no recollection of buying but has now brought into us.

I've lately refound this website http://dailyconnoisseur.blogspot.co.uk/

She has a lot of worth to say and I've read her first book, but some years ago, and is a raving KM fan, too. Maybe worth a look?

Will be visiting with family from this evening onwards until Sunday evening so will be aiming to do some kondo-ing over there, plus am taking some stuff from my residence to theirs, which will free up some space here.

Have a good day, folks, and mind yer backs if lifting heavy things.......

Loving the pillow talk :rotfl:We invested in Tempur pillows a good few years ago and they are still like new. I remember saving for them as they were so expensive at the time. But worth every penny for us :D

Still on board the KM ship and its still working well.

The Chazzer bag still has 3 items in it so is waiting for more unjoyful 'stuff' to join them if I can find anything else ;) Which I am sure I will.

Paperwork (yuk) Still up to date and everything where it should be. Have been working a bit on this over the last couple of weeks as a few statments etc have stayed in the 'holding drawer' until they are filed :o But all done now and 'holding drawer' empty.

I still havent started decorating which I must do. But as I have said in my head I have moved from here only I havent and wont for at least a year. So need to do it really but its not bringing me joy even thinking about starting :( But I need to bite the bullet and start and once I have done that I know it wont be as bad as I think :rotfl:

In other words I need to get off my backside and just get on with it !

DD is on inset today. She is old enough and sensible enough to be left on her own. [g'ma and me just a phone call away if needed and i tend to ring between jobs]

she has asked if she can earn money by 'doing jobs' - i am all for this but things that take me 10 mins take her an hour so a fair rate will be interesting! TBH it will help me a lot in that next week is half term so we can KD/declutter from the word go!

Well the 3 bags of clothes I removed from my wardrobes last Saturday are now in the charity shop. Managed to grab a parking space a few doors along 10 mins before they opened.

I took a load of books with me to a group I belong to yesterday, all but 3 went and I'll donate the remains to the library. Will try and sort the recipe books that are still all over the dining room from last weekend's washing machine moving episode. Just been so busy this week with work, plus some software issues put me behind.

We spotted a house yesterday that we wanted to view tomorrow as a potential future home. It sold in under 24 hours. Mad, mad market out there at the moment.

  • Morning everyone! Kondoing has really gone by the wayside this week with dishwasher dramas, colds and running DD around to things in the evenings! Getting back on it tonight though.

Rough plan for the next week:
Tonight - Towels and put away clean baby clothes
    Tomorrow - Bedding
Half term Week - DD's bedroom

I have absolutely no idea how I'm going break DD's room down into categories. There is stuff everywhere! She will be helping and we need to get it done so that her baby sister can move into her room as the traffic keeps waking her up in our room at the front of the house. DD wants her sister in with her so hopefully this will be motivation enough for her!

Haven't been to the charity shop since the beginning of the week. The lady there will be worrying about me!

Somebody I follow just posted on my diary page about curtain fabric she has had for years and never used..............ME TOO! Her post reminded me I have meters of lovely white linen hand embroidered curtain fabric which I fell in love with, bought for nearly £400 and never really thought it through.........I was never going to make those curtains I just liked the idea of them IYSWIM. Cant believe I had forgotten about it. Right before it dies in storage I am going to sell it:D

ETA; meant to add Work paperwork is now finished...............I am free to get kondoing. Coffee first me thinks................;)
