    Hello

Kondo help welcome here, I thought it was just mum who had loads of stuff....then I went up in my attic. It's too hot to do much up there, but I quickly found some brand new items bought for a project that is not going ahead any more so they will be ebbaayyeedd,. Had some success in getting a couple of large items moved on this weekend, and mum is chuffed to bits with the surprise of some cash to top up her emergency fund.
Couple of other bits have bids on so they will be leaving soon, much smaller but definitely collectables for other people!

Need to think through next steps, I am keeping the money raised from sales in a savings account, and it's motivating to align it to things we need for the renovation project, eg that item sold buys 10 roof tiles or a light fitting
We did have an in of a rather fabulous saw which as we I'll be doing a lot of the work ourselves will be helpful, and my new raised beds will be the first project!
£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
    1% target £4000 so far £20 paid

oh us capricorns! we get a thought and can we wait, oh no, we have to act right away, in spite of brain saying to pace ourselves. So now the airing cupboard is all but done, however I am waiting for some packmate vac bags to arrive tomorrow, am thinking that as well as getting things into less space, they will protect my woollen bedding and throws, I have several lovely welsh blankets and throws which would be loved by moths. Reason I ordered these bags is that I found one and I struggled to squash a pillow into a space. I bagged it and rolled out the air and it slid away very easily.

I have a large underbed zipped polythene storage bag and am thinking that bedding sets for winter could each be packed in a packmate and could go in there, all see through and would be in sets as I do have to cater for grandchildren and visitors through the seasons, not just me. Packmates from amazon, arriving tomorrow, hooray as I want to get that area finished

    Possibly :o

I've painted about 5 coats of paint on the kids' playhouse (you can now see it has been painted, but it will need a couple more), sawed up quite a bit of the surplus wood, and mowed the bits of the garden i haven't been able to get to due to the landscaper dumping stuff everywhere. So the garden looks pretty tidy and I'm about to light the fire again :)

I've had a LOT of work done in the garden, but it really has been worthwhile - the sewage plant has been fenced off with trellis (which is planted up with a mix of old climbers I have moved and a few new bargains), the bit next to it has been divided from the rest of the garden with an archway and raised beds (currently full of fruit bushes and borage, with nasturtiums being encouraged to climb up the arch). The kids playhouse and part of the logstore are now along the far wall of the garage, with the trampoline in front of them and another arch/raised bed divider. There is just room for a water butt next to the playhouse, and I should be able (eventually) to get the coal bunker under the garage window. I now have path behind the garage/oil tank to the compost bins (which are WAY too small, I need to acquire some pallets) which was previously blocked with rubbish and a bit of fencing.

The patio has a fabulous pergola over it, and there's a small paved area in front of the sitting room window. The pergola is going to be extended along the fence line so I can grow climbers all along it without relying on my neighbour's rickety fence! Another small patio has been created at the back, where it gets the morning sun, the back fence is being raised along about half it's length by putting taller posts in behind the existing fence, the back bed is going to be edged with brick (it needs to stay narrow, and has a tendency to creep out), and an archway is being put in halfway along so all the stuff outside the backdoor/utility is screened from the new patio/dining room.

Its pretty clear that I'm going to need to take out the overgrown apple and plum (once the leaves are off) and there are two ash trees at the front that appear to have die-back. I don't really have the space to store the logs yet, as I haven't finished burning the trees I had down 3 years ago, and I've reduced the log store to make room for the new patio!

Once the landscaper has gone (hopefully only another couple of weeks) I can start working out exactly where the beds need to be and planting them up, although it isn't really the best time of year for it.

At some point I really do need to start chasing up builders about getting the inside of the house done... but I'm not looking forward to that.

It'll be much lovelier when it has a few more plants in it :) And yes, I do enjoy being outside and either working in the garden or lying around in it reading books.

:) Morning all, lovely sunny day here and I'm going to be on the allotmentino from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.

Had a fun day yesterday, gadding about with pals from 9-ish til 5-ish but was sooo tired I ended up in bed just after 9 pm.

Have acquired some new (secondhand) things but the bulkiest (sock wool and jiffy bags) are for Mum and Kid Bruv respectively, and the two paperbacks will be read and passed on.

On the allotment, I really must rake up the dead grass and weeds which have been drying out for weeks and blue-bag them down to the tip on the push-bike, which will instantly make everything look a lot tidier. Then there's the weeding and I think I will have some things to transplant to their final growing positions.

Oh, and the slight crossness of having to gauntlet-up and snip off the brambles which have grown from the plot over the back to ensnare my compost dalek and menace the courgette bed. Dunno how other people feel, but having to spend scarce time and energy dealing with other people's bad husbandry really really wicks me off.

ISpent sometime yesterday Kondoing the forsythia, wiegelia and a choysia into manageable sizes. I didn't get round d to doing them last year so going a bit drastic this time. DH is going to chop some of the really thick stems for me. I'm trying to make the garden less labour intensive but think that may be a contradiction in terms lol. Picked a small bowl of strawberries last night - will share with some Greek yogurt for tea tonight. Right - need to get my Arris in gear as I'm on DS1 sons cat feeding duty today. He's in Greece fora close friends wedding and messaged me yesterday to say that three huge motor yachts have moored in the bay - apparently one of the daughters of Pink Floyd is getting married on the beach - it's now crawling with paparazzi. Good job his friends were married before the horde arrived!

I've kondoed the hedge trimmings into the 'green' bin (it's actually brown but takes composty things), had to use a neighbours too as there was so much. I was waiting for the little sparrows to fledge which they have now.

Also went over to Sainsbugs to take back a skirt that was a bit neat (ok, too small). With my new filing system (box for receipts) I could find the receipt straight away.
