My eldest is due home from her first year at uni next month - although she's been living in halls it still means storing all the kitchenware/ crockery/ duvets (3!!), pillows, L@keland large heated airer etc for the next few months - her bedroom is already full (other than the wardrobe) and she wants to get some stuff together over the Summer for the flat she's renting next year (furnished - to a basic standard) - microwave, ironing board, new duvets (going from single to double) etc.... argh! (but I do love her dearly
) At least it'll all be leaving here again come Sept, I guess!

On the upside DS is going to start uni in September. But he doesn't have as much stuff as her... Though he does have some big stuff like several guitars, amps and keyboards which, even if he doesn't take them all, can go in his bedroom. Such are the swings and roundabouts of life I guessI wanna be in the room where it happens0

I have always had two single duvets on my double bed, preferably with identical duvet covers. It was very easy when a normal friend or family member was staying over, it was easy to change, and I could use the second one if it had not been used and I had no time to do laundry.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -

Charity bags have left the building, along with a small, temperamental freezer.
Feeling cautiously optimistic about the 2nd rental house, so have bought replacement towels for itIllegitimi non carborundum.0 -

I found it from here: http://simplicityvoices.com/
It's a complilation of articles from other sites, done by a blogger who does this site; http://www.wantless.co.uk/Gonna wish you hadn't asked now, that's the rest of the day spoken for.
I have to confess to collecting websites on simplicity/ minimalism. I try to be discriminating and operate a one in/ one out rule on the bookmarks, but it's a losing battle.:o

Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
My new shelf is now in situ and the cupboard is sooooo tidy! I am delighted.
I finished another book, now in CS bag. I mentally earmarked a few bits n bobs to add to the bag while I was at work today
Apropos of nothing, i am about to do some sewing, just attaching some ribbon loops to a client's skirts, to better hang them in her wardrobe. I did the winter-to-summer changeover of clothes for her yesterday before i took her out for a coffee (at the local supermarket, just because we could walk there. Well I walked and she was wheeled in her chair). She can't get out on her own. We did a bit of shopping then took our coffee outside to sit on a bench in the sunshine and chatted for a while. As I dropped her off she thanked me 'for a lovely morning', bless her. It doesn't take much, does it?
