KonMari 2016 - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Mmf007, you are so right, it's amazing the joy that time and kindness bring out in others. It often costs nothing, but means a lot.
I always try to be really polite to people in shops, and look them in the eye to say thank you, so many people are really surprised by it, I like to think it brightens up their day. I also take the time to say hello and chat to the station staff and our reception team, they are so interesting and don't deserve the yelling that some fellow commuters give, they even wave across the platforms now!£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.

Morning!
I work in a customer services role (local authority call centre peep) and it really makes our day when folks are polite and friendly as opposed to aggressive, rude and hostile.
I was never rude to people in service roles before this present job, but I've been extra-considerate since being on the other side of the fence and it really pays dividends in terms of how they feel, how you get treated, and how a little more lightness and joy is added as seasoning into the stew of life.
Today is already joyful as, just a minute ago, an incoming email told me a library reservation is ready to be collected. I was returning a book after work anyway, so will be able to get this one at the same time. Simple happinesses.
Whilst I was at the parental home, I readied some bags for donation and instructed that some of them should leave yesterday when the folks go to the big market town where Dad is gift-aid-registered at the cancer charity shop. Checked on the phone last night and this had indeed been done. There are a few bags to go, so I've suggested feeding them into the shop a few weeks apart, so as not to overwhelm.
Last night, I finally got around to emptying the shredder and then caught up on my reciepts and personal accounting for the month, and did some more shredding. Place looks much tidier as a result, lol.
Will be working and erranding after work, might wander up to the lottie if energy holds but suspect the siren song of my new library book might distract me.:rotfl:
Hope everyone has a lovely day. GQ xEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Sun streaming in the bedroom at 5.30 wome me and then DH started snoring like a train - gave home a poke but it only stopped for a few minutes so got up. Reckon I've nearly done a full day's work lol! All fruit bushes watered, dry washing in and sorted, cat bowls washed and she's been fed, pair of too short jeans, legs cut off and hems pinned up to turn into cut offs, a dress I was going to alter I've realised it's doubtful whether I'll wear it again so gone in the CS bag. Just made a cuppa to wake up himself. Feel like I'll be on a mission today!
Have a good day all xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
It has taken me 9 days to recover from my lovely jaunt around the north-east, but now have a modicum of energy and 3 bags of clothes/books/surplus household stuff have gone to CS.
Some well OOD stuff I used to use when had eczema badly and a couple of things that upset my skin are in the bin and a whole bag of empty containers, wee pots/bottles and pump containers went off in the re-cycling wagon:D (With advanced age came dexterity problems and I regularly need to decant toiletries into pump containers if I cannot squeeze the product out or flip the lids open with wet hands:eek:) I now need not to let it build up again.
CS has yielded 3 tops and 2 pairs of trousers to replace the "too big" stuff that has left the house, now must put all the winter things away and organise the summer clothes into the wardrobe and drawers:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
The politeness thing is so important ... my colleague and I used a free weebly website for our little shared website. He's retiring as well this year, and I wanted to replace the business one with one of my blogs, so I could double my online presence and not pay any more. I checked on their help forum, and they don't do free any more, but they'd grandfathered our website all the same for years, keeping the "free" promise they made, maybe 15 years ago. So I went back to the forum and thanked him, and from the thanks and kudos he gave me, I just *know* he expected abuse, poor thing. It just takes a bit of imagination, thinking about what its like to be in their shoes ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I have an empty charity bag due to be collected tomorrow so will get some books and odds and ends put in it later.
Waiting for a package to be delivered so had a late brunch of sausage, bacon, egg and tomato and maybe fish baked with peppers and onion for tonight as am giving lower carb and less rubbish like sweet and savoury snacks a try.
Youngest dd is coming back tomorrow night so will do a tidy, vacuum and change of bedding tomorrow. Can't wait to see her and do a shopping trip on Saturday :j
Nipping out for some strawberries, yoghurt and eggs."This site is addictive!"

I'm kondoing at work, hammering at the backlog. I've set priorities together with my boss, so now I feel free to actually hold off on any other requests, and just focus on what she told me needs to be done first. I'm actually making progress now
A box that was brought in from external filing for reference to an old file and that has been cluttering my office for more than a year, has been completed again, and can go back. I've sent the email to the contact person. Just setting these wheels in motion helps with my mindset.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590
