I've been very good this morning and sorted through and dealt with quite a few paperwork items, I put them all in a basket in the kitchen which was ok when the basket was on a open shelf but now it's in a cupboard so I forget about anything that's in it!

So, dentist check up booked, car emissions thing booked, demolition certificate applied for and out of date vouchers in the fire bucket.

Well somehow cleaning the windows has culminated in cleaning the fridge!!!
Something sticky was on the top shelf so stripped everything out and given a good clean, I do the veg drawer weekly when hubby brings the shopping in as for some reason water gets in there. So when it's clean I put fresh paper towels in the bottom and arrange the veg so it gets used in order.
I have thrown away a half used bottle of ketchup, it was a big bottle and only dgson uses it, I couldn't read the sell by date, but couldn't remember when it was bought, I will ask hubby to buy only the smallest size, even if big ones on offer! !!!! We did this with instant coffee we rarely drink it and the large jar took forever to use, and it looses it's flavour, I think. Also threw half tub of Elmle@ as definitely been open far too long. I normally finish it off in drinks if not all used but obviously forgot about it! The only other thing to go was ood jalapeño in a jar, we used to have them a lot when friends came round with nachos but not done them for ages.

:D Feeling pleased with myself as have just kondo'd a whole pile of paperwork which has been stacked on the top of my CRT monitor for a couple of months.

Some filed, some recycled and some confidential bits shredded. Glad to see that back of that lot (I use the monitor top as an informal in-tray as the desk is very small).

:o Guys, will be at the parental home tomorrow evening and who knows what straaange things may happen there - will keep ya updated over Easter.

:p I'm sure we'd get on (as long as you didn't want me to weed your streams) but I have an allotment marathon planned and a few other bits and bobs for my annual leave until 02/05.

I shall be leaving the parents at lunchtime on Tuesday because there's only so much daughter even loving parents can be expected to put up with.:rotfl:

Four whole days, mes amies, with a bootsale on Sunday if the weather holds. I shall be roving their rooms crying Bring out your dead! in hopes that under-appreciated objects (we don't hoard trash) will be allowed to come out and be sold or given away.

Pleased to report that the piano move went smoothly! One of the guys was the image of Ed Sheeran but Laurel and Hardy did not appear.

Reverse kondo today, collecting several birthday presents for DH to open tomorrow. Strongly suspect a gift from rellie is a mug. We cleared out an excess of mugs last year :( Hoping it will be one in, one out?!

I have bought him a bespoke box-type frame with mini lights set in the inside, to display a selection of 'treasures'! It cost quite a lot but he will love it (fingers crossed). I have also got him some consumables in the form of fancy cheese, fancy crackers and grapes (is that a bit weird?)

Good luck with the accumulation and dispensation of items GQ!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Very glad to hear they didn't just have to leave it standing on the landing:rotfl::rotfl:
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

We had major building work done last year, and I had Right Said Fred playing in my head for months as I made cup after cup of tea

:j at last, at long last my sonil is coming to pick up a bed. It is an under bed spare with legs that spring up to full size. Its a great bed but only used rarely as I have 3 aerobeds, which are much easier for me to manipulate. I got the spare out from under, last december and strapped the legs so it would not spring up. Mattress stored against wall and base in garage. Big space under is perfect for three aerobeds and more, like a zipped bedding bag. Its a big and easy kondo :)

six beautiful bras are to leave, too big. Utility bras are still here and used, doh, so easy to wear when doing housework or cycling, very smooth. New bras arrived and are fab, not lacey as I decided to be sensible. Got padded, not for extra boobiness but for coverage when wearing t shirts. I read about padded bras first and decided to try. They are wonderful, much better uplift and make the t shirts look so much better :) goes with the makeup and new me

Did t shirt folding yesterday and easily put six more into a drawer space, all lined up like soldiers. I have a flipfold which is a joy to use, everything it folds is so neat and all the same size. I get three rows in a drawer

I`ll be good today and kondo a whole unopened large tin of poppycock from christmas. I`ll give it away with the bed, far too tempting for me eg I had a prowl yesterday, looking for something to pick at  much too dangerous

Its a good time to set up recording for some nice films eg pride and prejudice last night on film 4 was fab. Already set it for the book thief and will look for more later. I am so glad I did windows yesterday, phew
