VJsmum - if that 1970s jigsaw is in good nick it might be worth a few quid. Retro toys etc, especially in the original boxes, can be collectors' items.

I'm trying to use up. Need to clean more often so I can get rid of it........... Hmmm........... have to think on that one!

same here :rotfl:except that kondo has reduced the need for cleaning :D

I have given away what I want to give away but am slowly, very slowly getting through the rest, it will still last me a very long time. The only money I have spent in the last few weeks is on fresh organic food, no cleaning items or toiletries. I still have a gallon of bio washing up liquid, out of sight in utility, which I decant to an ex-fairy bottle under the sink. Lol, I used a squirt today, cleaning the bird feeders and that is how slow it is.

Had a good rest day yesterday, still did a lovely cycle ride and read and ate well, so I am feeling revitalised after the grandchildren. What now? Tbh there is not much that needs doing, I want to get three small drawers sorted, makeup, costume jewellery etc but I measured inside them and decided to get storage containers to fit perfectly, using what I could but adding a few more. Am waiting for muji, they take a long time and customer service is not brilliant but the items are.

Looks as though it will be fridge clearing, top of the list. There are still a few things that I will never use, bought for visiting vegans eg tahini and I cannot eat sesame, so no point me keeping it. Then a soup to make from bottom drawer veg as a new organic order comes tomorrow. Soup is good as I make enough for three days

I know I am waffling, wanted to come on here to say hello but nothing to offer really, I know I am pretty well done  but nothing wrong with showing support

i have to do mine too. I plan to move them all round near the compost heap.
I worked really hard getting rid of these last year - just a few more to go now, though there's a new spot down at the bottom of the garden, they've migrated there while I've been seeing to the hedges.

The thing about them is that unless you focus on them alone every week, they send runners like crazy, and I haven't been well enough to weed the way they need it. I ended up, at one stage, with strawberry plants about an inch apart, or even growing on top of one another :(

Sorting the storage in the understairs cupboard by the backdoor is going well. The shelves are deep enough so that the little Wilko crates sit with the narrow end facing me, and therefore taking up much less space.

And on the next shelf down, I've put an old cat litter tray (disinfected about a dozen times :rotfl:) and it holds bottles of this that and the other - everything from plant food to knotting compound :D still finishing that off, but everything is so much more accessible already

    :T

Well, got the girls guinea pig cage yesterday so they kindly out it together and plonked it in front of the unit. the cage is about 100cm by 50cm by 50cm so by no means small. I now have to find somewhere for printer, et all which currently reside there. They have also just left the cardboard strewn across the room as we have just got an allotment and I said to keep it for that. Consequently my tidy room looks like a bomb site!

We are getting bedding etc today and then the guinea pigs. Quite a full on week as painting dd room and also got allotment so want to get going on that too!

Make sure they are sexed properly tibawo, somebody I knew got theirs from a well known pet store, a few weeks later they had 8 more GPs than they bargained for....... Although to be fair, I think they had two girls, they just hadn't been separated from their siblings early enough.

I spent 2 x 15 minutes blitzing some of the stuff in the bedroom which needed putting away, not finished but looks much better. Large carrier bag of odds and ends and bubble wrap dropped into CS and another one filling up for another CS in nearby town when I visit again.:D

Need to make time to try on summer clothes, still no sign of being able to gain a significant amount of weight, so any of the smaller clothes kept last year which are still too large IYSWIM can go now. Also need to check out the summer shoes and sandals, no point in keeping them if I cannot wear them any more:(

Woo Hoo - all the old garden furniture gone - making lots of lovely space!! I have ordered a new set but its much smaller as there's just the two of us and its much lighter to move around and best of all wont need painting/sanding etc!
Had a little tidy and move round in the garden too. I was saddened earlir this year to find a lovely camellia had died - don't know why as I've had it for a number of years & it was a beautiful double pale yellow one but I have decided not to replace it. I already have a number of others and they are kept in tubs as I have clay soil so a little less work for me with watering & feeding.
Its quite amazing how MK makes you really take a long hard look at areas of your life and I'm all for simplifying as DH & I are both past our 3 score years & 10 lol!

I am kondoing a specialty beer with a bbd of December 2016, and it still tastes fine. It was bought for guests we had in the summer, and this one was left.

Work is very busy and I did an extra hour today, which led to joining the free workout session. I don't even know if they are weekly or monthly, but I do know that I had the best physical condition of everyone present, and I was the oldest! My employer has started offering these sessions with a proper instructor since January 2017; I like the place where I work, and it is just through sheer luck that I ended up here.

    Packed for my holidays.

I have a 30l rucksack as a cabin bag. nothing in the hold. 8 days worth. I am a bit stuffed if the weather is really nice every day - but it isn't meant to be (going to Prague and then Germany).

I could find everything i needed from the kondoed draws and folded it into the rucksack....

    Doesn't it make life easier?
I wanna be in the room where it happens
