I hope everyone has had a good day, lurker or poster, minimalist or hoarder!
I'm a sun worshiper so I've been out for a walk and a picnic. Summer dress out of storage and back in circulation (for now?!) a lovely day and straight out the house with appropriate clothe/accessories/picnic ware with the minimum of fuss

Lovely, it was fantastic weather for it wasn't it! We did the same, best step count in ages and a lovely picnic. Very relaxing :)

I have just spent two hours since I got back helping my daughter sort toys, and arts and crafts and although lots of paper recycling and rubbish has gone out a lot still to do! Looking on the bright side, all the doh vinchi has been put away and the dining room is nice and tidy ready for tea. Will have tea and give the room a clean, and at least that room will be completely straight!

Just a day in the garden today kondoing some more lawn into a larger flower bed - started it last autumn in that I marked out a large curve to increase the size of a long south facing border - sliced through the turf and turned it over in situ - grass all died and lovely soil left. Today I have dug it over and redefined the edge. Also lots of pruning and cutting backs of last years stalks and stems on perennials - I tend to leave for winter interest and birds love the seed heads. All looking tidy now - garden waste bin full for removal on Tuesday and another pile ready to go into compost bins when I empty them. Wanted to sort out greenhouse but got distracted with putting clothes away which meant I have now got a CS pile on the go - 2 dressing gowns in it - light weight for summer which I cant remember when I last wore - so they will be washed and off to CS on next run. Also a jumper for CS and a jacket for Eb*Y . So a few things to keep momentum going.

I will be pretty much on my own during the day over the next few weeks so I have plans to kondo much more. However since getting a F!tbit I have been kondoing the weight with the 10 000 steps a day and want to keep the momentum going with that too ...........I envisage a few long beach walks ( before the Easter hoards arrive ) when I will also kondo the beaches of plastic carp :)

    Feeling energised

We had the first of our rhubarb in a crumble. I tried it using xylitol for the first time instead of sugar (we mainly eat low carb) and half the flour was coconut flour. It came out a little bit soft, I think I will use less fat next time in the crumble, but it was very edible. Some left over for me for the next two evenings. It will be OH's last week working away from home until he gets his next contract.

He finally agreed that we can get rid of the breadmaker. It did good service for many years but the pan isn't what it was and the bread sticks in it a bit. We barely use it now since going low carb, maybe twice in the last year when we've had visitors. It will be thanked and sent on its way.

Painted the areas we filled yesterday, one bit will need a second coat, will sort next weekend.

It`s amazing how the universe, call it what you will, does get to support you as long as you put in some small effort. Sitting back and waiting just does not work, it has no good consequence. I am saying this because I was just thinking how I have adapted to living on my own,I did not wait for it to happen. I have had children here all weekend and done a lot of driving and as soon as I got home and locked the door behind me it was `phew` and was just like getting into my owm homemade cosy nest. I never thought I would say it but I like living on my own

I ate too much because I was hungry, then suddenly my focus was back on myself but `oh well` it was just a one-off. I changed and thought I would try on my very many bras, I do tend to wear the same utilitarian rosa faia twin plain ones but they are starting to stretch unevenly ie are worn out. Then I tried on my lacey ones and they are lovely, the ones that fit. I have half a dozen good bras that are too big so they will go and I am going to get rid of my rosa faia ones too, I had great pleasure in ordering some more gorgeous lacey bras using my karma woo money. I will be careful in trying on, with a view to sending back if needed. I don`t care if I am the only one who knows what I am wearing underneath :)

As it has been a whirlwind weekend, I will be doing not so much tomorrow, pottering is in order and perhaps a bit of fridge sorting

Greent, when the time is right for your garden, perhaps draw a plan, keeping certain aspects and wort your garden sounds very nice but hard work as you get older, when the plants also mature and get bigger. It sounds very much like a kondo candidate and you will know in your heart what to do, over the next few years

slinky I use xylitol in crumble, half and half

3 copper tea kettles and an ostrich leather bench cushion to my daughter.
Stray plastic containers, all the black dishes and another tea kettle to a ranch in Mexico. (No one needs so many kettles as I have)
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Frogletina have you tried putting the rug gripper stuff under the feet of the sofa to stop it moving? As you know carpet pile allows items to 'walk' but this stuff stops that. It also makes rugs safe on hard surfaces because it is slightly tacky and so the rug (or whatever) doesn't slide.

The floor is laminate and the sofa rests on large square feet. So not sure what could be put under the feet to stop them moving.

There is enough room to put the table behind the large sofa, so I will try to sort that out this week.

This stuff comes in a sheet, cut a piece to fit under rug / square feet of sofa. It is sort of tacky fleecey stuff. Works a treat. Just in case the table does not work.

Still not kondo'd the tickly cough!

I'm just re-arranging storage of my gardening stuff. When the brick shed is renovated, it can probably go in there, but till then, its in the house. I tried to use some shallow stacking bread-tray type things I got while skipdiving, but they don't work, everything just gets left on the shelf and clogs up ... so I've said goodbye, and I'm choosing what to put in some little 20 litre transparent plastic crates from Wilko. The garden stuff has got jumbled up with tools, so I'm sorting those too, more or less, and part of that working out what to put in the big toolbox I just inherited from my sister (she had half a dozen sitting in the garage, her husband was a bit of an equipment hoarder). I'm really looking forward to the space being clearer and more simple - its an open recess right by the back door and the bathroom, it will make a big difference.

It was a glorious day yesterday.:A The whole weekend was lovely weather.

I went through my make-up and toiletries again and used up a few bits and pieces. I have started having baking soda or sea salt baths as I have had some problems with aching muscles and only use a few drops of essential oil alongside it. It makes you feel really good afterwards!:)

I need to use up half a bag of fresh spinach. I think I will use it with some gluten-free pasta and other veggies as it wilts down so much during cooking. I might try to freeze the rest or maybe have it in a green and fruit smoothie.

Sorted all the tools in the tool boxes, there were 2. They are now all snug in a couple of drawers in a unit in the laundry - much easier to find and the 2 toolboxes were taken to the tip. I left them out of the skip so hopefully someone has made use of them.

I'm kondoing dust bunnies from under the sofas in the living room, I love wooden floors but they do show the dust!
