I don`t believe this, especially since I just wrote about karma
I just this minute opened my mail and there is a cheque for over £6000 from a bs. I thought there was only about £60 when I asked for it to be closed. I am flabbergasted. Gordon Bennett0 -
The clearance men have just finished removing the bath, rubble and goodness knows what else from the back garden - they even vacuumed up the gritty bits and took the dishwasher that gave up the ghost last week! so now I can get on and make the garden ready for spring.
8 craft books felt 'unjoyful' so they are waiting to go to the CS and the bookcase looks so much happier. As do I. As you said, Kittie, it is a really deep feeling. And, addictive!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Fab news kittie - that beats my money received yesterday after I asked for my late dad's account to be closed (dead 6 years last week) - thought I was getting about £6.50 - got £155 instead - I was pleased enough about that!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

Haha! Kittie can have a whole-shebang party - mine's more of a few packets of Doritos, sausage rolls and some supermarket wine! :rotfl::rotfl:I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
I think the whole Kondo philosophy has helped change that - I should use the lovely things I have (including notebooks!) rather than keeping them for best. I mean really, who keeps a notebook for best...?!
Er, I'm guilty. I have at least five that are 'too nice to spoil'. Says who? :rotfl: I also have a lot of filled and half filled bright pink A6 spiral bound 'Common Place' notebooks. I bought them when I was studying Creative Writing - the idea is to never be without the writer's equivalent of the artist's sketchpad. Mine now hold some gems, among the dustheap of Internet passwords, shopping and to do lists, and my own private worries that I am not ready to share with just anyone, packing lists, financial calculations and other sundry jottings. They date back to 2005 and started out being different books for different things, but I have got into the habit of using the nearest. Oops. They do spark joy, though, and sometimes make me realise that I have made more progress than I realise in a lot of areas of my life. The biggest is to let go of things, ideas, and even people that I find to be a real drain on my energy. KM really works and doesn't stop at possessions. It changes habits, relationships and even beliefs. When something goes out, there is a clear space to be filled with something fresh and the stress of working round something instead of addressing it is gone.0 -
Oh kittie that's great news, get the champers out  :T :j
Just seen greent's good news, too. Woo, woo ! Spend it on something lovely
It is the MK woo!!!

So pleased that's it's not just me then! I've started putting them all in one box (for now), so I know the scale of my stationery addiction, as well as always knowing where to find a notebook of course! Although I do seem to choose the scrappiest looking ones to use first - though to be fair if it isn't going in my journal it's because it's a shopping list which I try to bin asap when I get home. Your notebooks sound a bit like I've found with my bullet journal - good to look back on and see how far I've come with certain things.0 -
If I were you Kittie you wouldn't see me for a while as I'd be too busy doing online holiday research :-) Hope you're planning to use some a little of it as fun money!0

:j Woo, unexpected money, how lovely, mine's a G & T if anyone's getting a round in. Hope you both throughly enjoy the spending.
Was out on the allotment for a couple of hours last night after work, such a beautiful evening, but I've overdone it a bit and have struggled with my work today. So, have grounded myself and no archery tonight, really daren't go then be in a shattered mess tomorrow. My job isn't life and death but it is done at incredible speed and with a lots of computer programs running simulatenously so, if I'm shattered, there's plenty of room for errors to creep in.I have heard of flyladying but have never consciously done it. Perhaps I'm getting the vibe somewhere off the 'net because I am trying to always do the dishes before I go out, had a bowl of hot soapy water not much used and just had to wipe over the cooker top before w*rk.
Heavens to betsy, whatever is the matter with me?! :rotfl:
Have a large and joyous bunch of daffodils in my room which are bringing me a lot of pleasure, and a serious need to do some tidying up and vacuuming, or those dust bunnies will be getting big enough to threaten life and limb.
****exerunt GQ, stage left, to haul out Henri d'Vac whilst Nursie readies the chair and the whip, in case any unruly bunnies try to make a break for it. En garde! she shouts excitedly, thinking she's Zorro, I could explain but it's more than my life's worth to cross Nursie.****Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
