Congratulations on the sleep GQ. I could really do with 24 hours... I'm shattered. For the cough, try alcohol :)

:p I'm up for it but think my employer might have a few objections (leaving for w*rk in 20 mins).

Will be at the folks' tomorrow evening, we're none of us drinkers but I think there is some sherry left over from Xmas - purely for medicinal purposes.

Hope you soon manage to get some more rest, I think we ought to close the country down and all have a duvet day, would do people the power of good.

More papers have left the office plus some DVDs and a couple of magazines. Plenty more to go but limited on time and energy at the moment so it's very slow progress.

Yep, I will keep chipping - but 6 things a month is slow progress.

I said i would start at the end of January. One of my brothers, the one who doesn't actually live there, will be ok I think - he has loads of clothes there that i think he will give me permission to take to the chazzer. There is loads of paperwork that next time i am going to gather into a pile each for them.

There are loads of videos under the stairs - i am going to start binning them (dad has ok'd this). Dad said that some could be transferred to DVD - until i showed them how cheaply he can buy the same things on DVD for peanuts.

It's frustrating. But I will get there.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Normally, I have parental leave on Wednesdays, but yesterday I had to work (until 22.30....). Anyway, dh works until 15.00, and arrives home around 15.30. This time, he had to do the taxi-ing for dds, and he did not like it at all!

Dds were both still at school (where after-school care is open until 18.00), he picked up dd2 at 15.30, then had to return to pick up dd1 at 16.00 after music lesson. Dd1 brought a friend home, friend had to be dropped off at 16.40, dh/dd1/dd2 went straight on to dd2's ballet class starting at 17.00, ending at 18.00. And somewhere, he had to prepare a hot meal, check homework, play, and read a bedtime story :)

I think we have kondoed some misunderstanding about how much of a 'day off' I actually have on a Wednesday :)

In the course of grating up my parmesan yesterday I discovered a microwave plate - kept for Justin. Its now on Freecycle! It gives me joy to get rid of something else ;)

GQ have read that putting V*cks vapour rub on your feet and then a pair of socks before you go to bed helps with bad coughs. Not tried it myself but if you or your parents have some lying around the house might be worth a try nothing ventured and all that xx
