I am feeling regretful because I bought various kitchen electronic items that I am about to remove, after my coffee which will give me time to ponder. Some I have not used in two years, others I would not use again, since my changed circumstances, widowed and now single. I am going to do the correct MK thing and going to hold each one and see what it says to me, they are already out, on a table. Once they are gone then I will forget about them and put something I already have and love, in their cupboard space
I am comfily dressed, ready for rooting in corner cupboards, just need to get on with it and forget about the waste, they are no good just sitting there0 -
Go Kittie! It is very liberating, liberating inanimate objects, believe me! Once they are released they no longer sneer at you every time they catch your eye. You thank them, say goodbye and breathe a sigh of relief.
As we have come to realise on this thread, the money spent is long gone, at the time the aquisition gave you pleasure or served a purpose, now you can release the items and focus on items that bring you joy, small or great.
Please report back with a big smile at how well it went?
M
BTW, I am hopping from foot to foot with my hands behind my back and my head slightly bowed because I have sinned again...... my much depleted stash of cheap handbags has just been topped up by a new addition, bought in the sales of course, after much contemplation, for a magnificent £29. It is bright, ironically in a Japanese style, patterned fabric, and will get much joyous use. This is bag number 2, because I found a beauty last week that was even cheaper. I have no intention of buying any more for years because my these 2 fulfill many uses and bring great sparks of joy. I am resisting making handbag buying a hobby!I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
It's hard though, isn't it Kittie? But you are doing the right thing.
OH has been decorating the kitchen. he should finish on Sunday so i am going to use it as an excuse to kondo - though i don't think there is much left to go. I no longer have "that" drawer - but i did have a small box like "that" which i have kondoed.
The dishwasher has broken, I was pushing to get rid of it, but OH won't so i have to get it repaired. i am quite enjoying the washing up
I have vowed to finish Kondoing the office. It is the last big thing to be done (2 years on) and i keep doing bits. Paperwork and photos are going to be finally completed. the shelves sorted (though regretfully there isn't much more that can go). i have moved back in (from working in the dining room) but this last push will make it much more pleasant.
I was going to take some bits to the chazzer today - but want to avoid driving on the dodgy roads, so it will have to wait.
Any ideas what i can do with a gift pack of flavoured filter coffees? I am not keen on added flavours to things but don't think the food bank will have much use (or do you think someone might like the luxury? I am wondering if i am being classist :-/) but don't know anyone who would like them...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

I know somewhere like CAP might want them if they know of someone that has a birthday coming up and likes coffee.
