I like licorice as well, the black cuttings type rather than all sorts which are really just sweets.not heard of salted before but it does sound nice.
Dh has taken the bag of boxsets to work today with instructions to their new owner to watch enjoy then pass on.
Watched another last night so that can go in the CS bag.
Busy all day today so will be back to catch up later, have a joyful day all.SPC~12 ot 124

Thinking about you today GQ. It's a sad fact with lots of families ( mine especially) that you only meet up with all your rellies at a funeral.0

GQ, thinking of you and your family today.
Sorry greenbee, happy childhood memories for me of eating salty licorice in The Netherlands.
Mrs money-penny, I am intrigued as to how many DVDs you started off with as loads seem to have been passed on over the past few months.
Had a helper yesterday so lots of carp gone from kitchen and bedroom. Still plenty to sort out but each item gone is a victory.
Lots of admin to do over the next couple of days as way behind with all of this. Paperwork is still breeding - need to take it to the vet for a little chop op methinks as nothing else seems to work!Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Thinking of you today GQ, sounds like you'll need the scarf and gloves as it's a darned cold day.
Of course being the first frosty day we've experienced, I've got a builder here to do some repointing......... I've only been chasing him since May....
Re salty licorice, I recall my Dad bringing some home from Amsterdam when we were kids, it was pretty vile and very hard so I guess it was probably the salty stuff to which Siebrie refers.Make £2025 in 2025

GQ - thinking of you today.
Chuckling at the injuries sustained during really innocuous activities. On holiday this year I decided to keep up my yoga with the half hour sessions they ran at the resort. I overbalanced and hit my head on the concrete floor and sported a beautiful black eye and bruised face for the rest of the holiday. No lasting damage though maybe Yoga can be categorised now as a dangerous sport lol.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Silvasava, Holiday accidents - that reminds me of a poor woman we saw last year who fell or tripped at the bottom of the aircraft steps, the flight attendants were desperately trying to get her rings off as her hand swelled up. Poor lady was on the same flight home as us with her arm held together with a metal cage.Make £2025 in 2025

Love that Oceanspirit. I will look at each bag/box/trip to recycle centre/fr**cycle offer as a victory from now on:D

Thoughts are with you for today ((GQ))
We have a funeral to attend next week - OH's aunt - only in her early 60s and planning a big holiday with hubby next year. 7 weeks from diagnosis of cancer to death
On a lighter note, I got rid of some bits n bobs to trick or treaters on Monday - small bits of unused costume jewellery, unwanted and unused party bag tat and magazine gifts and even some McDs toys in their bagsI also sold one item on fleabay and have been paid so have posted that today.
Bought DS1 a new bed last week (had to take his old one to recycling centre - was going to freegle it but when we started to dismantle we realised that some bits were broken) - also meant new bedding (gone from sgl to dbl) Luckily my mum had cleared out her airing cupboard the week before and offered me a vgc all seasons double duvet so that was a ££ winAll cardboard packaging was burned by DS1 - the chiminea needs emptying of ash now and it adding to the compost bin. Have kept DS1's single duvet sets - they are being considered by DS2.
