  • Sorry to hear your news, GQ - it sounds as though this is your nan's time and she is ready to leave, but it's still hard for those left behind.

Sorry to hear about your Nan, GQ - hope the visit goes well today :)

Have listed a few more things on fleabay and have bids on just 2, and watchers on some more. Some are quite specialised (soapmaking items) so not suitable for general donations to CS.

Re-tidied a drawer yesterday - 2 pairs of socks and one bobbly pair of PJ trousers to textile recycling, along with a pair of DS2's school trousers which have split again. OH sorted a picture and a summery shirt for CS box :) Also got rid of yet more paper to recycling. Burned some card and a couple of pieces of our old cherry tree (chopped down last summer) on the chiminea :)

Am labelling up a box of Bob the Builder toys for the NNS today. May also list a couple more items on fleabay.

Not much Kondoing going on here, have been on holiday for a couple of weeks, but kept up with the thread whilst away. Two books read to go to CS, however bought 4 at the airport........ 3 were business books though. 1 I've read and OH has started, he's read another, 1 still to go. It sounds mad but holidays are the only time we get to do some concentrated reading and the business books aren't the sort of thing you can pick up and put down and still follow the flow. Some useful stuff in the one I read to try and implement to improve my business.

Hey ho, net 2 books in..... And several excess pounds which will get shifted over the next few weeks as we go back to low carb.

Before I went I bought a new bikini which when I got it, didn't spark a huge amount of joy, but there was only limited choice in the shops in early Sept. However having worn it several times I've decided I like it more than I thought, and also I bought a couple of cheap sun dresses for holiday wear whilst away, and one goes very well with the bikini so good to wear to the beach.

I decided that one of my other bikinis no longer sparks joy so can be moved along. Do CS accept swimwear?

Ho hum, back to the washing - there's a heck of a lot of it, plus I need to do some work today in preparation for a lot of stock arriving tomorrow.

    Onwards and upwards.

  • Ive seen swimwear in our CS slinky.

Had joyful afternoon yesterday, arranged a meal for mils birthday all 5 children plus partners and DGS could make it so really nice family event.
This morning we have free tix for cinema and a lazy day planned. Ds1 and a friend need lifts to open mic later but that's no prob. Might make a start on getting the wardrobe door edges painted this afternoon so they can be rehung.

  • Good morning all. Beautiful day here, hope sun is shining wherever you are, and hope that GQ is OK.

Big bag of recycling ready to go, also some boxes got jettisoned yesterday, but that is all. Been busy with work, and feel like I have kondoed a little weight, not been on the scales but can feel a difference in the waistband area, so I think something has happened!

Flat needs a good tidy up, it can have that tomorrow when I will put on my domestic goddess outfit complete with dusters and brushes. I feel like I bring things out to sort then they hang about making the place look untidier. But if I shove them all back again, nothing gets done, so not sure what the answer is to that. I really do miss having a spare room as a sorting depot!

3 bin liners of stuff to CS yesterday. Didnt get a chance to quiz about missing GA barcodes. I only found one thing out for sale from my previous donations and that had a barcode on it with the correct number so maybe the issue has been resolved. manager seems to have her 2 young children helping her so maybe therein lies the problem?? I did notice something though - the prices have shot up  A nice G*p jumper but nothing special and not in a 'new' state £7.99 - previously these sort of things have been priced 2.99 - 4.99........maybe a policy change or an ambitious new manager!! I came out with a hideous candle holder for 49p - perfect for something I need for work which is where it will stay ;) !!

Warmest thugs GQ and motivational, positive vibes to others who may need them. I must confess i am brilliant at giving virtual hugs but terrible with actual physical ones. Don't know why and my DD2 is completely opposite. I am not a 'cold' person and genuinely send virtual ones.

I know I have been awol but real life has been getting in the way but after DD craft thing this next weekend I am hoping that people buy lots so that she raises lots of money but secretly I have been using my bits up and will glad of the new space.
