    Morning all :D

Mrs MP hope you are ok after your tumble. :( Who knew crochet could be so dangerous ;)

I have kondoed shed loads of money sadly:(But have purchased the freehold on Dads nania flat :) So its been well spent and not wasted. With all the buying and selling and moving being done on here thought I better not get left behind :) Good luck to everyone who is moving hope it all goes smoothly for you all.

Charly27 Good luck on your journey back to Norfolk but I so hope you dont live in North Norfolk as the traffic is murder as its Cromer carnival week  A 5 minute journey is taking me up to 25 mins at the moment and thats if I can get out of my road :rotfl:With the amount of cars /caravans/campers/lorries going into town so this week I will be mostly staying at home and watching the Red Arrows from home as they turn for the display on Cromer Carnival Day over my garden :);) and as we are so high here they are really low flying so its a fab display with no crowds :) just me and the dog bliss so I will get my cup of tea ready for 11am Wednesday.

Other than that need to revisit a few drawers as have decided to move a few things around will do that at some point will also do some cleaning as thats something I always need to do just not as much as before KM :)

  • Hope that everyone is OK! will catch up later on after a bit of studying. We are off today and tomorrow.
DH sleeping right now, as the heat does not agree with him and his illness, even tho there is a cool wind blowing around here.

One bag of DH clothes to the CS this morning, done on the way to the SM. Another bag will be started tonight and will be taken tomorrow by myself depending on the heat and how hot it is.

A few things on g*tree and St*life for free - hopefully will get a response sooner rather than later and we can get rid of it.

Got rid of a crap load of stuff from the shed/garage yesterday too - bits in the landfill bin that we cannot recycle and others in the recycling bin. Found a few bits of electricals that are way passed their use which we will send to the electrical recycling at our local SM. Very handy that place is now.

Hope those that can enjoy the lovely weather are doing so.

My bruises looked worse then they were, it was my own fault for perching there. It was the big wooden sea defences at sheringham I was perched on and there are signs telling you not to sit or climb on them so I should have known better really. Nothing will ever put me off Norfolk. I've already booked the same house for next year and have told the kids if we get the chance we'll sneak another day trip in before this summers over. Kids have been told I want a bench there in preference to a grave stone when my time comes.

Had a rather impromptu spot of skip diving this morning, postie had left a card saying a parcel was left amongst the rubbish wed left on the drive- which plumbers mate had put into the skip once it arrived as we had requested, he obviously didn't realise our postie would hide packages amongst it so skipped that as well. After an hours search much to the amusement of the neighbour's we found a 7in vinyl in rather soggy packaging. The vinyl is ok but the sleeve was a bit damp.
Working on filling the skip now.

    Hope everyone is well.

On Saturday I told DH I was going to buy some socks for my dad and if they didn't suit dad he could have them. DH said he has a drawer full of socks so didn't want any more, thanks.

On Sunday mil visited and brought 5 pairs of socks for DH! :rotfl:

Today, I took the socks to Shelter :D

I have to kondo money tomorrow, car major service. Still, MoT done and annual insurance paid 3 weeks ago so will be all shipshape imminently. Always a relief to get it sorted out for another year. I feel very lucky to be able to run a car, so am not complaining. It does mean I will be kicking my heels in town for almost 1/2 a day. Window shopping and a coffee will do nicely.

Today I met a friend for lunch, well, iced coffee as it was a nice day. I needed to get some tags for a bday pressie, went to a few shops and didn't see any I liked. Went to Tiger and realised I could use washi tape to make tags, and that I had little trouble walking away from the plentiful craft supplies. This is a huge change! I have spent more money than usual recently, but its almost all on necessities or presents so not staying here for more than a few days/weeks :)

ETA: have also forgotten to take some things for friends last time I went visiting, so its not as much progress as it should be! It will happen

Kondoed a few jars of food yesterday.
Hate throwing food out but there was only about an inch or so left in each jar and it wasn't worth the room they'd take up for packing.
Also a Pyrex jug because the measurements have long since worn off.

Will also be kondoing/re-gifting 3 bottles of Champagne. Hubby gets given them by customers at Christmas and we rarely drink them.
So 1 to the lady whose house we are buying plus a new home card, 1 to our buyer plus card and 1 to our lovely neighbours with a thank you card to say goodbye.

Hopefully the last of the packing today...

    :) Morning all.

Been offline for a while due to being very busy gardening, working and reading a thriller. And came back to find mrs-moneypenny had fallen off a groyne..........! And there was me thinking this was a respectable website, lol. Glad to hear it was sea defences and not something more intimate.

    Picture this;

Last Saturday morning, I was assisting my friend by some informal kondo-ing in the upstairs rooms of his [STRIKE]junk shop [/STRIKE] err antiques emporium and came across two large boxes of presentation cases of Things, including the paperwork, but minus the Things themselves.

I took them down to him, they had a delivery label on from 2002, there were about 50 of them but no Things. He seemed baffled about them so I put them back again as one of life's little mysteries; when a shop exists for over 40 years in a ramshackle old building with someone who never throws anything away, I guess these things happen.

Anyway, I popped in for a brief chat on my way home from work and he excitedly told me he'd found the Things; they'd arrived in different parcels 14 years ago and had never been united with their presentation boxes. I think I can see a little task ahead of me for Saturday.

Fourteen years! I hope he can sell them, it'll take a while to get through them. They're very identifable, which is why they will only ever be Things online.

ETA; oh, and I found two unused boxes of letterhead from a business partnership he used to have (different name) which was dissolved in 1970!

More papers shredded, recycled and filed yesterday. Found some things which should have been dealt with a while back ... guess what I'm doing today?

It's feeling good to get rid of things although there's still a mountain to climb. Hopefully OH is coming over later to help with one of the larger piles which involves some big decisions being made so it'll be good to have someone to bounce pros and cons of each option off.

So, the faster I clear the desk, the faster another pile comes off shelves, chairs etc and takes the place of the cleared stuff. Still doesn't look any different in here although OH says he is looking forward to cleaning the room properly when it's all done. Am very :o by the muck that came off the desk itself yesterday when I had a little wipe around.

Have started another CS box to fill. The next lot of book sorting will have to wait until the weekend.

Decided to let a battery operated kitchen gadget go yesterday, only to find that the batteries have leaked acid inside so it'll have to be disposed of rather than donated, grrrr.

    Morning all :D

Feel much more motivated since I jumped back on board the KM train :D
Loads of cleaning done yesterday and a few bits in the Charity bag and nothing brought in which is always a bonus.

I have decided I am going to revisit kitchen cupboards as when I kondoed them in round 1 ;) I never had to fit 28 cans of catfood a week in them :rotfl:So will have to re-organise I think and make space with easy access as I seem to use that more than anything else :o

So will finish the cleaning (so I maybe sometime) and then get on to that. Also how comes the inside of the cupboard doors get so grubby.?
The bed linen is on the line already so I am ahead of the game for once ;)

Have a lovely day all :D

Edited to say I might even get the clean your house in 30 days book back out and see if I can get past day 4 this time !
