Back home from my hols late last night as Norfolk was just too darn lovely to leave willingly. Arrived to a beautiful new bathroom it is rather gorgeous, so I've Kondoed the payment and a case of beer to my friends Dh (the plumber who worked so hard all week for us to come back to it completed)
Not had much rain here so the pond (children's old sandpit full of rainwater) was silted up to gubbins, clean it out and refilled it with rainwater, the tadpole population that strangely inhabit it are quite happy now they are swimming in cleaner rainwater instead of murky silt. It took quite some time to check we had them all out of the murk but we couldn't leave them as they would have suffercated in it as it was.
Read 4 paperbacks while away so they all got left in CS or with people who wanted to read them. An almost empty bottle of shampoo got left at the holiday house as it wasn't worth bringing back. And I used up 5 balls of wool from my stash crocheting a blanket that will be given away once it's finished.
Just bought back happy memories and a few bruises (crocheting incident involving a fall off the groyne)

Need to catch up on the washing now, plus I have a skip to finish filling.

    Siebrie booked that appointment! :p

No kondoing just cleaning all day.
Bathrooms are spotless, now have to keep them like that until Thursday.
I think we are going above and beyond for our buyer.
Bought 2 new loo seats because 1 was discoloured and I didn't want buyer to think we are dirty and the other had a broken hinge.
Also replaced the broken plug chains on the bath and basin.
    Painted inside of bathroom cabinet.
    Replaced bulbs in cooker hood.
Funny how these have all been on the "snagging list" for years and they are getting done for someone else! :o
Also going round and making good any paintwork.
    Hopefully it'll be appreciated.

Well my feet throb and my hands are sore so night night all xx

No idea what a groyne is but the mind boggles... :D

  • Clutterfree I had to Google it! It's a type of wall built out from the shore to prevent sand and sediment being moved progressively further down the coast

Have kondo'd some painkillers and hoping to sleep off the rest of this crash, nn
:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A
  • Ouch, hope the bruises soon fade - I don't think I've heard of a crochet-related injury before :rotfl:

Yes, come on Siebrie - we're waiting to hear that you've made an appointment.

Clutterfree, that's made me smile - the only time any house I've ever owned has been 'finished' is when I'm about to sell it! It's usually when I get the estate agents photos that I think 'damn, it looks good - why am I moving'!

Morning All - busy weekend so no Kondoing but did manage to sort out our address book and business card folder that DH insists on keeping. There were lots of pieces of paper with random phone numbers, cards of companies he has used and I managed to take all the cards that had been pinned to the kitchen board. A nice little pile went in the recycle bin and my board is clear! Just been reading back through the posts and the comment about keeping cards has resonated. I have a box of them from family - do I look at them? NO! So why am I keeping them? They will be going out and the lovely box they are in will be repurposed or sent to give someone else joy.
Have a busy week ahead too - tomorrow have tree surgeon coming to kondo my plum trees down to a manageable size ;) and another session of acupuncture booked - it's an exciting life I lead!!! A good friend at the sailing club has offered to design my kitchen for me ( it used to be his business) as my DH had done some work on his boat. I do love how one good turn can be reciprocated - feel very lucky to have a group of good caring friends.
Do hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy the good weather today x

Lovely to hear that you had a good meet up Mavvy, Mrs MP and Kaz, but ouch to the crochet incident!

Hope all goes well with the move this week Clutterfree.

Closed another bank account, another pile of papers shredded, more papers into recycling, emails read and deleted (only 110 to go on the backlog plus others which have been read and need replies doing), 1 pair of shoes into CS box and pile on desk looked through then put into categories to deal with when I can see the wood for the trees.

OH has taken CS box to pass on today and we took the books to NT property yesterday for their secondhand bookshop.

Finally got around to ordering a curtain pole for my bedroom - only lived here for 9 years and bought curtains from a CS 2 years ago. Don't want to rush these things :rotfl:. Now need to find someone to drill some holes and get it put up - OH is not a DIYer.

    More of the same today.

Hope the crochet related injuries mend quickly Mrs mp and they don't taint your memories of Norfolk. We travel back to Norfok today having attended DSS1 baby shower (well his partner's shower as it was all girl thing). I'm trying to only take memories and photos back. Leaving all the freebies hotels seem to thrust at you these days. I really don't travel that much so they'll only take up space and tbh I don't think they SJ! Books is where I'm at next. I did clothes in May and now I'm ready for the big books. This is huge for me being a teacher an all. Will let you know ....
