Yes, bin if useless (recycling included in general terms 'bin'), sell, pass on and most importantly give to charity shop (CS).

:o The bowl is in a carrier bag in the bottom of a big communal skip bin, so I will have to file that note about the rubble section for future reference.

I have ben known to 'fish out' crockery from rubble skip - I know not supposed to but the 'operatives' are very good and tend to turn a blind eye - got a pie of lovely side plates bowls and small dinner plates with a simple black stripe around the edge - replaced the ones we had which were beginning to show their age :) Also helped myself to a humongous glass flower vase from glass recycling skip - still had sticky label on - some posh glass company - just about to go and fill it with sunflowers from garden:D

Just one item out of the door today - dress sold on Eb*y - begiining to fall in love with that place again - everything I have listed so far has sold :) Mainly because its now The Good Stuff:rotfl:

    Morning all,

    I've a question for all you pro's;

Do you bin, sell or pass on the items you no longer find joy in?
:) I'm not selling stuff, don't want to get into the Bay of E and haven't a car to go carbooting with. I'm giving some away to charity shops or on freegle. It wasn't expensive when I got it so not worth much.

Books which are priced online at £5 go to my online bookseller brother every few weeks when we see each other. Sub £5 they're offered to family/ friends if I think they'd like them and taken to chazzers.

Clothes and housewares, if good enough condition; family and friends would be offered first dibs, otherwise charity shop. Worn out textiles for ragging at charity shop (I mend stuff until it gives way) and remove trimmings for re-use. Yarn re-purposed into charity blankets and hooked rugs.

Random stuff gets offered on freegle and I get rid of a fair amount of small odd bits that way. Last resort is recyling, such as the completely blunt approx 20 year old can opener I replaced very recently.

My idea outcome is almost nothing into landfill but sometimes you really can't help some waste.

    Morning all :D
Kaz and Mrs MP replied and yes will be there :D

All good in the Mav household and back on the train chugging along to the next station :)

Have given the house a good clean and do need to have a bit of a sort out here and there but will get on it next week.

My friends who have been house hunting have found a house and an offer has been accepted:D The house has been on the market 4 days and already had two offers on it when they looked at it.But both people had not sold their houses so theirs was accepted :D

Cats are all fine and a strange thing a Ginger Cat has seemed to have joined Lola and Kits. They are all fine with it.I have seen it before with them but then it goes but I have now seen it 3 days with them so its a bit odd really. Could it be dad ? I dont know how things like this work in the wild cat world :o At least there will be no more Kittens for Lola if it is.

Another clothes sale today as this is the monthly one we do. Have not put a lot of time into advertising it as I really need a relaxed type of day after the manic weekend ;) So really dont care if no one turns up.
Weather is so good here hopefully they will all be on the beach and not at our sale :rotfl:

:)Mavvy, if it's a ginger, it's vanishingly improbable that it could be anything other than a tomcat, although I have seen a female ginger, with her side shaved from her spaying op, at a cat rescue place. They are exceptionally rare.

If it's a tomcat and he's not been neutered, it would be surprising if he was hanging around. Feral cats form sororities with their female kin and don't tolerate their own sons around once they've grown, or other males unless they're in season and calling.

Unfortunately, tomcats can kill kittens to bring the female back into season sooner. If he's a neutered tom, he may be behaving atypically, if he's not neutered but Lola is spayed, it's baffling why he'd be hanging out with her and the kits, even if he was daddy.

Unrelated female cats sometimes visit females with kittens; a chance conversation revealed that a neutered female we owned was making social calls to a feral female with kittens in a garden about 20 yards from home. Seemed to be curiousity on her part and the other female didn't object.

Been doing more shredding and clearing out of paperwork. Found an old bank card which expired 2008! Scrap paper drawer is now full but it won't stay that way for long as use loads of it for daily lists etc.

More of the same this weekend.

I have Ginger Cat in my garden, and then he was joined by his girlfriend - the girlfriend is owned by a family a few doors away, and she's pregnant by him for the third time. They sit together in my garden, and in the other family's garden too :)

When I had my own cats, the dad of the two litters I let them have used to sit in my garden while the kittens were bumbling around, it was lovely :)
