By golly, I hope you'll take today off and have a well-deserved rest. We are all looking forward to having the full account eventually.

I'm up bright and early today, have actually been up for several hours already and will have my second pot of tea and wash the dishes before heading up to the allotment. Tip opens at 9 am and I'm intending to be there not long after with dump run numero uno - got seeding weeds to get rid of.

Had a lovely chat yestereve with the person over the back of my plot, whose paths seldom intersect with my own and have hatched a plan for some work on our mutual fenceline come wintertime. Got too much to do with growing things to fiddle around with building fences at this time of year. I have most of the materials already, wombled from the tip.

Have done some work on my WIP (the rug) and am aiming to squeeze a row or two or three into time fragments each day. Each row is 90 tufts wide. Keeps me outta trouble.

Certain items which bring me no joy now, are in a CS bag to go on my next trip in to town.

General cleaning is about to take place.

I have replaced the 1960s fablon lining the drawers of a recently restored bedside table (it belonged to my grandmother) with some 1980s laura ashley wallpaper (which I've been using for years for drawer lining, and more recently for the kids to draw on!

Vast quantities of weed removed from the stream, more to do today...
