    Hi All,
    Had a productive day today.
As you know, due to moving soon, I can't proper KM so I'm having to to do a part way room by room.
Today we did DS1 room together.
Emptied all his drawers and managed one dustbin bag for charity, one for recycling and one full of rubbish.
We then rehomed all his things temporarily in the empty drawers. Managed to get the majority of his computer games into the drawers so there are only a few left on the shelves now. Along with a few books and games consoles I think he will only have 3 boxes for removal.
The drawers look neat and tidy so I won't have any embarrassment if the removal men need to take them out when moving the furniture!

Had a removal man round today for a quote and he opened all my cupboards! Pre KM I'd have been mortified but all my kitchen cupboards were in order. :T

DS2 room tomorrow. This will be more challenging because he has my hoarding tendencies. :o He has the smaller of the bedrooms but I am sure we will need more boxes for his things. He also has more books which I won't be putting in drawers because they weigh too much.

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

    Morning All,
Pouring here so looks like allotment will be postponed. :(

I woke up in the night and realised DS1 and I had not gone through his clothes.

He's only got a double wardrobe and a drawer so shouldn't take too long but it will be hours until he materialises... :p

DS2 bedroom today. Not looking forward to that.

May also try to get hubby to look through his clothes. I've got a dental appointment on Monday which is in the same town as the charity shop so if I can get them to sort, I'll be able to get rid of the sacks pronto! :T

:) Good luck with your decluttering. Every single item which doesn't have to be packed and moved is going to be a win, and you will really appreciate it on the day. Is the sale still going on track? I appreciate this is a stressful time.

Looking grey and wet here atm so will postpone heading lottie-wards until later today. If today follows yesterday's pattern, this aftternoon and evening should be lovely.

:o Still haven't gone through that WIP I got out of the shed over a week ago. It's a big bag of rugmaking materials, all mixed, not a kit, so needs a bit of time to assess what I will do with it. I shall tell myself that I will assess it before the weekend is out, and make a decision as to what to do with it.

Righty, the decision of the moment is to get breakfasted and then crack on, so hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all :D
Lolly went to the vets yesterday after she took half my arm off I loaded her in the basket. She has started sneezing again so is back on the antibiotics she has put on weight but is still very underweight for her age. But vet said its to be expected as she had such a rough start in life. But vet said its more important then anything to get her spayed so she will be going in after these antibiotics and we will have to take a chance she is ok as the vet said if she gets pregnant she wouldnt make it :(

Update on Lola and the kits she still has the 5 :D spent ages yesterday watching them all play such a wonderful sight. Lola was off hunting and the kittens didnt know I was there :)
Now in the process of trying to trap them all which is not going to be easy I can tell you.

Will be back later to catch up with everyones news :)

    Good Morning All!

I've not posted for a couple of weeks, though have been reading along, but the last couple of days' posts have resonated with me! After my parents died there were seven car loads of 'stuff' to go to the charity shop and the tip which was a nightmare. :(Tea-chests full of old bedding that I remembered from childhood kept for Justin, paperwork from my Daddy's business though he had retired 20 years before. I came back to England determined not to leave a similar situation for my son! Enter Flylady! And now the woo of Marie Kondo!! :j

I am sorting out ready for moving and am being ruthless about what is coming with me. My 20 year old lounge suite and spare bed are being given to my first time buyer, and he is having all the white goods for a nominal sum. My drawers, wardrobe and cupboards were kondo'd before the house went on the market so no embarrassment when doors were opened! I will replace the lounge furniture and spare bed, then wait to see what is necessary once I've settled in - including an older rescue cat from the CPL as I think I'm too old to take on a kitten!

Right, onwards and upwards! I need to get my act together and jump in the shower.

    Love

    Sweetpea69 xx

:) It's a smart move about the white goods, especially as fridge-freezers don't like moving and often fail shortly afterwards.

Some rellies of mine were moving and the purchaser wanted to save aggro by buying their white goods of them. Aunt wanted to accept the offer, particularly as they were all several years old, but Uncle refused and their goods went with them to the new home.

Where the fridge-freezer promptly expired and all the rest died within a year or two. What a waste of time and poor use of money.

Rain here today so the weeds will have to wait

So I am tackling DDs stuff in her absence (she knows), not ridding but sorting and stacking. Then I can get the rest of the house in order as I had let it slip....

Including a trip to the chazzer :T

I emptied another removal box and found my slow cooker so it has been cleaned and chicken is defrosting to make diet cola chicken overnight.

I also found my food processor which has been put in another box and clearly labelled it so my youngest can have it if she fancies it.

I still have loads of boxes in the integral garage and plan to drag a couple of boxes through at a time while the tv is on and sort into "stay" or "go".

I thought white goods were the sheets etc that would fit the spare bed. :p
We call white goods >>>appliances. GQ you inadvertently explained the difference. :D

Mav, I love the kitty updates!

Seven bags of grass mowings from the lawn - and it needs doing again in a day or so if it stays dry as the mower blades need lowering.

One bag of weed from the stream. About a million to go, but I need to empty these ones first and I need a rest...
