    Hello all its me :)

I havent had time to catch up with your posts but I will I promise.

Lolly is doing well and growing so quickly The Mum cat with the 5 kittens hasnt been seen (since the trap arrived) So sadly I think she has moved on but I do keep looking out for them all.

The sale was amazing  It was so busy we blocked the road :rotfl:they were outside 45 mins before we opened and we made £280 on just the clothes and £161 on Tea etc in just under 2 hours.
Which at £1 an item and 50p for childens was pretty full on I can tell you ;)

So we have kondoed at least 280 items out of the door.People were made up with the bargains they snapped up. So kondoing hasnt hit our area hard thank goodness.

So all in all everyone happy The Charity shop, Us,The charities we are supporting and the people who got a bargain and it stayed out of landfill :D So cant be bad :T

    Mav x

    Now for the next on

This is amazing - well done. :T:T

More areas should do this, never heard of one of these around here and I would definitely attend one (but only for curiosity and a cup of tea as I really am buying nothing atm.)

While preparing to fill out our tax returns I went through two piles of paper and threw most of them away. I decided I don't need to keep my old water bills (only the end-of year one), my old childcare bills, old cc statements, notes from school, ideas for events in the area, etc.
The papers for the running tax year I keep in an easily accessible plastic folder, where I just add all the papers I receive during the year. (Some childcare papers and parental leave papers just arrive any old day throughout the tax year, the other papers arrive anywhere between February and June of the current year.)

mav thats wonderful :T :A An excellent amount of money raised and so many items able to now bring joy

So encouraged to hear of people getting into smaller clothes, taking this as my inspiration :rotfl: I mended some jeans (been sitting around for months waiting) and they are no longer somewhat too tight so I'm happy

I'm very lethargic today so a crochet WIP is my only kondoing

    Wonderful Mavvy - Gold Star!!!!

Thanks for the tip on the awards Polly - very diplomatic way to move them closer to the door!!
Accompanied a friend to the big yellow and blue storage place. As we were wandering round all I could think of was this is just storing 'stuff' if you get rid of it you do t need all these storage 'solutions' came back home with a dish brush, pair of tongs and a spatula - spent just under £2 lol felt quite virtuous ;)

    Well done Mavvy! :T

Well I've now got 36 items listed in eBay!
Somewhat nervous because I've only ever listed about 7 items at a time but I had a 75% off FVF so thought I'd take advantage.
Didn't get everything listed that I wanted but I'll box them up and sell, them after we move.
I've got bids totalling £70 so far so I'm happy that.
Don't think I'll sell much because I didn't realise they all end during the Euro final next Sunday! :o Never mind.

Booked 3 removal firms to come and give quotes this week - don't think it's going to be cheap but then moving home isn't.

Need to have a bit of tidy up before they come because boxes everywhere and want them to look a tad neater! ;)

Hope you've all had a good day x

    Thank you all :D

Serendipitious I had never heard of one before either :D But its a bit like a posh jumble sale.I think we sold far more as everything was hung up on rails in sizes.Everyone commented how nice and easy it was.Far easier for them to rumage and pick up stuff. Then they had to hang on to it as if you put it back it would be gone :rotfl:

I also had a nose around the bootsale on Sunday to see if anyone was selling on (and give them a leaflet with dates for the next ones;)) but didnt see anyone with stuff we sold.

Spoke to one lady who spent about £50 ! She was buying for mainly polish people who were moving into the area. For interviews and when they landed jobs they could go to her pick up some outfits and pay it off weekly once they had got paid.
She didnt want me to think she was earning loads of money for herself so explained it to me. So if they had £10 items they would pay it at £2 a week for 5 weeks. So she was thrilled with what she picked up from us and said she will be our biggest supporter.

She sent me a link to the charity yesterday. So I can see us helping them as well by when we have stuff left after a couple of sales we will pass it on to her. She said it was a big problem not having decent clothes to apply for jobs.

I had no idea any of this went on. But this charity helps everyone who wants to work but struggles buying clothes to be able to go to work.:D

Then when people had a job and had got themselves straight they donate back to the charity by pledging a couple of £s a week to help purchasing clothes and footwear for the next people who need the help :D That really is paying it forward isnt it :)

You really do live and learn in this life. So I will be talking to more people if I can as you never know what you learn from them. KM has really opened my eyes as I now take the time to do things like that more than I ever did :D

Last weekend we got rid of 4 large boxes of clothes and things for our second house in dh's home country, and our small fridge went there, too. My parents have seen me busy packing, and mum took the chance to take a look at our attic. She climbed up the ladder and exclaimed: 'Oh, Siebrie :( ', but I told her: 'no Mum, that should be 'oh, siebrie :)'! There is so much less than there was before!

Well done on the attic Siebrie. :j

More books to c/shop - that's now re-homed all those that came in from the school fair the other week. Two were incomprehensible but the others were good reads.

Today's kondo of the day for me has to be a bottle of Dove ProAge body wash - never buying this again, ever. I've used it up (joylessly) because of the price but from day one I noticed it leaves greasy residue in the shower tray and on the hose, I think this is from the moisturisers in it. Glad to see it finally used up and will be back to Sanex tomorrow. A tiny thing, but so pleased... :D

I managed to go through two big boxes stored in the conservatory.

I found shoes I had been looking for, a mixing bowl and measuring jug and a few other bits and bobs. Anything I did not want to keep I boxed up again and one of the builders is taking it away for me as he knows of some people who could use things and also can take things to the charity shop for me.

The back garden has been cleared a bit and they are making a start on demolishing the shed and the huge outdoor fish tank which will make a real difference to the space.
