Think about your transport links, whether you would like rural, urban or mixed. Hospital / health care is important too - there are lots of excellent specialist centres around here, and holistic care for both of you too. The pace of life is gentler, the landscapes are incredible, and in lots of beautiful areas homes are cheaper too :D

Thank you Floss - we did talk about it and researching all areas that you have mentioned, especially with what DH has got. Hence it is a five year plan. It will enable us to research as best we can and also for the dust to settle depending on what happens today.

Lots of heavy rain and thunderstorms down south today.

No kondoing done this week so far, hopefully will get a little bit done across the weekend depending on the weather. If bad - hopefully will do a few hours of studying - if I can stop procrastinating. That is my downfall.

Hope all are OK and not suffering from the heavy rains.

OH took 10 books to our favourite book CS this morning and they were very happy to have them. A CS box for other bits and pieces is gradually being filled along with a couple of items of well worn clothing for their ragbag.

Several more papers shredded and other items into recycling so progress is still steadily but ploddily being made.

Had a bit of overwhelm over the past couple of days as there is still much to do. A planned visitor for tomorrow has had to cancel due to last night's storm and whilst I am sad not to see them am happy to be able to continue sorting things out rather than doing a hasty tidy up. The run up thus far has had me thinking properly about permanent homes for certain things though so it's been a good thing.

Mavvy, hope little Lolly is continuing to make good progress.

Have been very lax on the MK front recently, but finally today had a go through our bathroom cabinet. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I must have had a clear out a while ago that I'd forgotten about. Found a few out of date medicines to go to the pharmacy for destruction.

Question - I've got some nail polish remover. I threw all my nail varnish away earlier this year so have no use for it any more. I don't know how to get rid of it though, would the pharmacy take it do you think?

:) Perhaps you could offer it on freegle/ freecycle, slinky? Someone might be glad of it.

Pootling gently about the flat whilst waiting for a vat of soup to finish cooking and re-homing the odd item. Slowly slowly getting there, all the easy wins are gone, it's a case of using things up and not replacing them.

My kondo of the day is my old laptop, another item that lurked in the bedroom, which has gone today to the repair shop to see if it is worth salvaging.

So that will either be coming back fixed, in which case it will probably be re-homed within the family, or will be confirmed as RIP - in which case it will be going for recycling. So it will be a win-win either way on the kondo front, and although the repair will cost, I just hope the quote is not too expensive...

I can't believe I've been sharing my space with two dead pcs.... Freedom awaits!

Just Kondoed our polling cards and put a cross in the box.
Spent the afternoon playing bookcase Tetris and kondoing some more books, I have a huge pile in our room awaiting a second opinion from Dh before they go to the CS at the weekend.

MrsMP, I love the way your DH gets to give an opinion then the books go to CS anyway!
    Way to go!! :T:rotfl:

    Morning all
MM only 3 books got pulled out that is from 7 heavy bags so not a bad result.
I was hoping to lose a small bookcase during the juggle but I need to read more before that can happen.

Oh dear. We appear to have Kondo'd the EU :(.
