:) Y'know, if I was a free agent, and not a wage-slave, I'd be seriously tempted to have a peripatetic lifestyle as a roving gardener/ kondo-ista. And would gladly exchange my services for food and a bed at Chez Greenbee.

If I see a ruin of a garden or a pile of Stuff which needs sorting, my little heart goes pitter-patter with excitement. Sad, innit?

:o I particularly like brambles. A good bramble patch is a very rewarding project for mattock, gauntlets, oaths and pyromanical tendancies. I like looking at the allotment I used to share and the bramble patch which isn't there since I nixed it in 2007.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

:) Nettles are fine. You can have big fun going down after those rope-like yellow roots (which even smell nettle-y, have you noticed?) and taking hold of them in both hands and pulling them out.

And yes, I have done this many a time and even landed on my beam end when they have suddenly given way.:rotfl:

Cairn terriers are a kind of dog, I think? Not really a dog person, much prefer cats tbh.

Hokay, going to put the pooter off or will be too pie-eyed to sleep (I work on a pooter as well).

    Sweet dreams, everyone. GQ xx

GQ will you please explain to this clueless American what a pooter is? I googled the term and found:
    1) one who farts, 2) organic diapers made of bamboo 3) slang term used for certain woman parts.
As I don't think any of these fit....:D....could you help me out?
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

As Ivyleaf said (cqn't make quote button work!),
Belated happy special birthday Silva, sounds lovely.
Triker, hope DH feelkng better and you are over the shock.
greenbee, try a little light meditation!
    MrsMP, the h.hogs are gorgeous!

I visited a client yesterday and she asked for a hand moving a relatively small item of furniture. I suggested that we needed to check it would fit in the desired location. She went off to find tape measure and by the time she came back I had moved the furniture to location and it fitted. I moved the boxes that were impeding relocation, vacced and dusted and offered to help sort out staying vs going from assorted boxes. There were some financial
records which I left alone but I did suggest that the top few items from 2 boxes could be released without fear of repercussions - these being a holiday brochure from 2002 (no typo, 2002), a kitchen brochure from 2007 from a now defunct firm, 3 local parish magazines for a church that is no longer functioning, some fishing mags from the mid-noughties and some Slimming world ads (she weighs less than 7 stone due to ill health).

On the otherhand, I have still not had the mug discussion with DH. He is sooo busy with work that it is not a good time. I can wait. A quick tot-up indicates that while we have too many mugs, we are only talking a total of 17 (2 sets, 2 large mugs I use daily, and 5 individual ones DH has been given as gifts), not like my friend who confessed to having at least 6 sets of 6 plus at least 10 sundry individual ones that were gifted!

I do want to reduce from 17 because we will NEVER need that many! When we have guests we cannot fit 17 people into our tiny front room even if they form a human pyramid! :rotfl:

Have kondo'd my tax return, after ringing HMRC Again about my incorrect tax code. Logged in today and confirmed they have put it right and so I paid up for 2015/16. DH's already done. It will be a pleasant surprise in Dec when I log in to do them as usual, having forgotten that I have finally kept my promise to do them earlier!!

*whispers - GQ, did you really eat a pie, with wheat ingredients? I have now lost 11lbs in 5 weeks and I was on holiday for 5 days so am happy with that (got reallly stuck at 8 lbs, no idea why, no cheating, this is my best effort!) Anyway, back on track. *Hoping* to get to the Stone mark by midJune.
I know it's off topic but just need to write it to crystalise - I actually really think that if I lapse back to carbs as a 'little treat' I will fall off the wagon completely. It has only just ocurred to me how addicted I have been. I have never craved sweets but carbs, oh yes.

Anyway, in the spirit of MK, i am hoping that once I have something looking nice and neat (Me!) it will give me great pleasure and will stay that way :rotfl:

Working tomorrow morning and then I may go to Tai Chi. Not been before but this is an outdoor class so it appeals to me.

    M

Milasaves 'pooter' is GQ's term for computer (com- pooter). Hth.
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Ha,ha! North West England any good??!
I like the idea that the nettles would only take the morning to sort out, then it's down the pub! No hic though, all hi carbs! :D

Right, off to sort salad n stuff for quick lunch after a morning cleaning, before tai chi in a garden :)
