Hugs to slinky and karma. Could you write some of it here? We don't judge....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Update re my Kondoing.
Head feels clearer and brighter, frees me up totally to concentrate on upcoming work projects with preparation rather than last minute dot com prep. This includes my speaking at a Conference again this year, in a few weeks time.
My daughter urgently needed to come home (unpleasant partnership breakup with EX piece of **** < add your own expletive).
So during last few days, we collected daughter (who is disabled) - I was able to swiftly sort the spare room out for her as it was full of already sorted piles of stuff to be CH, ebayed or car booted.
Towels, nightie (as she had nothing with her at the time) toiletries, spare toothbrush, towels etc all sorted.
I then returned with her to her Ex's house the following day to collect as much as her stuff as possible.
This resulted in around 18 containers and bin bags.
Transported them back to our garden where she (bless her :T) Kondoed through them. Including clothes and bags and makeup and allsorts.
We then sorted her another place to move to as she wants her independence. She'll move there next week.
Daughter also has a flat which she had already given notice on so the day before yesterday I cleared 5 bags of rubbish and then further already kondoed bags for car boot.
More to be done but we've cracked the worst of it.
Yesterday myself and hubby did a car boot (yep we have a large Thursday one available) and made £50, half of which we gave to my Daughter for new place fund.
I've been tidying up as I go along and have not been stressed or derailed at all by the weeks events.
I spent £2.20 at the car boot, unheard of for me, the frantic buying fairy has deserted my head, hopefully never to return.:D;)
£1.00 was spent on a wonderful moroccan leather lamp, I've been looking for one for years and ta daaaah, there it was for a £1.00

More kondoing today, have semi sorted kitchen as my Daughters old cooker is being swopped with mine.
Then to work related stuff and sorting out another training event date for my business.
Also ebay.
I've noticed I am using up food, able to locate items upon request which is so refreshing.
Smiling at my little areas of 'joy' and colour.
Have a 'move in' ready set of boxes and bags re my daughter who is now Konverted.
Restricting people by 'unfollowing' or placing them on restricted list on facebook, those who annoy me with their politics.
Things that I would always "have to think about" before taking action now I just do, such amazing clarity of thought.
Realise that bouncing back but off into a new direction is the new way forward :grinheart

Just realised how much quicker to clean and polish it is when clear and tidy.
Am now eyeing up the cookery books, I don't think it looked at some fo more than five years. bye Delia....Carolbee0 -
No Kondoing today, just general tidying while waiting for a friend to come over. She's late, as expected, so I've time for a quick break!
Kondoed 2 more Sally Ann Re-Bags yesterday and brought back only one top - beautiful, immaculate condition and I love it so it's definitely MK allowed.
Can't believe it's Friday already - a week off work flies by ...Looking ahead0 -

Hmmm.......... bit of a dilemma. I've just found a wet film camera that's been on the missing list for several years. It has an undeveloped film in it, part used. I've just taken the batteries out, a miracle they haven't erupted, the camera hasn't been used since we went to Spain in 2005........ We got engaged then, I'm just wondering if it's worth trying to get the film out and getting it developed.
Thought that I may have to buy new batteries and they look expensive, they're not the standard AA size, but just had another thought if I go and open the camera in a dark room, try and get the film out and manually rewind it, that may work.
Chances are it'll be knackered, but I suppose it's worth a go.Make £2025 in 2025

Slinky if you go to a proper camera shop, they have special bags that allow no light in thT they can put the camera in and retrieve the film without it getting light damaged if there is a problem with the camera. I had this happen on holiday years ago and a lovley little I do photo shop in holt (Norfolk) did it for me.

:rotfl:Probably discretion is the better part of friendliness in this case.
Been working most of the day but managed to hike down to the chazzer with two big heavy bags of Parental Stuff. One was an unwise purchase which has never ever been used and still has its tags. Hope someone will love it, buy it and use it.
Just rallying my strength with a view to pedalling off to the allotmentino now the sun is over the yard arm and its a bit cooler. I'm a (rapidly greying) redhead and don't do strong sunlight very well, so will probably limit my gardening to late PM this weekend.
Keep on keeping on - my domecile is definately not guest-ready atm but will be better by next week. Another freegle thingy is scheduled to leave tomorrow morning, so we're getting there slooowly.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Thanks Mrs MP Proper camera shops seem to be few and far between these days although there's one in Bath that could probably do it. We usually visit Bath for the Christmas market, since it's been waiting 11 years, I guess I can wait a while longer!

Builders did a LOT of tidying and odds and ends today... but I'm not impressed with their idea of 'clean'.
My garage has rubber mats on the floor from when the previous inhabitants used it as a workshop for restoring furniture - I've (re) hoovered them with the 'DIY' hoover washed them several times and am about to dyson them. They might then need another wash... then I've got some old carpet to put on top of them. which will need dysoning... and then I can put about half the rug down to wash.
The ensuite is almost finished. But there is no reason that it shouldn't be clean ... so not happy about that. I'm not moving stuff back into the bedroom while the bathroom is filthy. I suspect I'll end up cleaning myself, but I'm going to have to say something. Only 3-4 weeks until they are done, but I'd like them not to create more dirt than they have to.
I have new shelves in my bedroom, and a cupboard in the bathroom, so storage is improved, and i'm thinking very hard about what I will move back in. So far my bed and one bedside table have made the cut. Although I'd prefer to get a new bed...0
