    :) Afternoon all.

After nearly an hour's drive, got back to my flat and it took several trips to offload the car into the flat. Mostly Stuff from the parental home destined for the chazzer.

GQ could you not have asked your Dad to stop at the chazzer before you got to your flat ?
:( Nah, it's on double-yellows. Anyway, it was the first time I'd been outdoors for 2 days so I was overdue for some exercise.:rotfl:

I always do my outdoor errands in small batches as an excuse for fresh air. At the moment I'm posting my thank you letters for Christmas one at a time. And going to the post office half a mile away rather than the post box round the corner. Similarly I only take as much glass as will fit into my small backpack to the bottle bank each time, and buy one thing at a time from the shop. Fresh air and exercise are important, and it's easy not to make the time.

After having a chat with a relative today, I promised to lend something to her, but do you think I can find it? I KNOW it's in the house somewhere! Still two board games passed onto a new home and an unwanted lip balm passed on this afternoon.
  • Greenbee, you're an inspiration - I badly need to get more exercise but run out of 'reasons' to go out especially as I'm trying to have no-spend days.

I've just packed away the Xmas decs except the nativity set, which I'll leave up till 6th Jan as the wise men haven't got to the stable yet! I was hoping to get it down to one crate, but that proved too much, however I've managed to reduce the number of extra boxes which will make it easier to put it all back in the loft. I think I could have got rid of much more but Christmas wasn't brilliant this year for various reasons and I'm not feeling strong enough to get rid of anything else. Next year!

I also have a couple of friends in the village who I visit for a cup of tea/dog walk etc - one or other of them will usually be in, and if they're not, I've walked half a mile to see them and have to walk half a mile back.

I also ration the posting of my expenses so I have to send them at least once a week (post office is only open twice a week), so tomorrow afternoon I will be walking the lot that are being chased down to the PO to send special delivery... which will generate a receipt that has to be expensed (you get the picture?). I usually go on Thursdays when the community cafe is open... the queues in the post office can be very long ;)

    Morning all
Dh and ds1 have gone back to work today
Ds2 slept over at a friends so I'm going to Christmas the house today as I'm back to work tomorrow. I do love my deccys but it's time to box them back up.
Well done on achieving so much at your parents GQ
Greenbee well done on your planning and time management for getting excercise factored into your kondoing trips.
Dh has been doing a bottle bank run as and when needed he passes on way back from paper shop each morning.
We didn't get a bin collection last week so have double this Friday, I must get all the rubbish and recycling sorted bagged and out.
The cards are down but need to go through them before recycling, and I need to find a couple of codes from the papers before they go out.

I want to get back into kondoing proper once the remnants of Christmas are tidied away, I may start again and revisit clothing or pick back up at papers as I never felt that was given my full attention.

    Have a joyful day all.

Recycling today and it's full. There's more in the garage but as we currently have torrential rain I'm not going to put it out. It can go next time as my bins are rarely anywhere near full.

    Morning all :D
Some great progress going on and a lot of kondoed unjoyful 'stuff' off to make some cash for what ever charity has been choosen so well done to everyone who has got 'stuff' out.:T

Lovely day here and all that talk of exercise has made me decide to go out for a run shortly ;) and just enjoy the peace and quiet ;) As DH has also gone back to work so just me and the dog.

Was going to start the decorating but s*d it that can wait for a rainy carp day :DIts too nice out there to waste.

This is the first Christmas/Jan time I do not have the Black dog for ages and ages so I am sure its to do with the Kondo woo factor :j The support and laughs on here also helps a great deal so thank you.

I really dont worry about things now and am so much more postive and so much more able to say 'NO' to things I dont really want to do.

So thanks to that odd little childlike women and her book my life has changed so much :) So thank you for that our great leader Marie Kondo:T

    That sounds wonderful!

I'm not quite kondo-ing in the classical sense, but I'm really paying attention to my books, and to the kitchen. The kitchen, I'm doing two cupboards simultaneously - and they're both so much more accessible already. The books, it *is* ongoing, I'm afraid - but I'm getting there. Actually, might think of it as "a second pass" at the books, even a third - the more that goes out, the more I can see what I don't want any more. I've realised that I treat my big bookcase as a sort of library - "I might want to read this in the future" sort of thing :o that really has to stop, I'm downsizing/downsizing/downsizing, and I can't keep this number of books. Which feels a lot more free.

    Thank you Marie!
