I have a set of pastry forks for the rectory garden party - but they bring me much joy and I'm keeping them - we often use them for cake :) I also have fruit spoons - they make great soup spoons for children! :D:D

Just in case it runs on a bit till dinner - I can bring a set of fish knives and forks :). In house when we bought it, fully intend to use them (just as soon as I can work out how :o).

ETA - Just watched a Martha Stewart video. Am now ready for action ;)

I bought 4 nice cake forks at a CS and use them to mash the cats food so I won't offer mine :(
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • I have a cake stand, not much more I could offer to a tea party in the walled rose garden. Ooh, I have shawls that can be on hand as sun protection, and doilies for the table

    Secateurs and rose-admiring I think I could manche ;)

  • Procastinator - I agree with Floss - do you have room for a small step ladder or one of those fold-up stools? I am under 5ft and I rely on those all over the house! lifesavers...
    .

Good idea, I don't have one at moment so will have to keep an eye out. Can't remember where but I'm sure I saw just the thing before Xmas but thought no where to store it but the airing cupboard would be just the place.

:) Morning all, up at silly o'clock as head buzzing with the list of tasks which can't be done until the morning, due to using/ sleeping in the relevent bits and pieces.

And have realised that I am very low on milk and that I didn't get the biscuits in (I like to be able to offer biscuits to tradesmen working in the flat but don't trust myself with them on a day-to-day basis). Will nip up to the shop when it opens at 7am, so's I can get back in time for their arrival which will be 8-ish.

Loving the fantasy tea party in my fantasy walled rose garden, makes me wish I really did have one so I could invite you all over for tea.

OK, easing into the day with a cuppa and then it's brekkie and up and at it.

:D I will. I have stocked up on chocolate digestives. Although the flat is as pared-back as I can achieve, it is still a tiny space and it won't be easy for them to work in.

For example, if I pull my bed any further than its present 10 inches from two of the walls, we won't be able to open the bedroom door..........:p

Just having Second Breakfast and caffeining-up for a long day. Am using my bathtub as a storage area for some things, with my sewing machine nestled among pillow and duvet and the lampshades (breakable) to garnish.

Just hope no one turns on the bath taps................

When I disappear offline, they will have arrived. See you on the other side.
