Well all good plans went out of the window today.
By 8am I started to feel unwell again. Started with a sore throat and by 9.15 I had a problem with the small of my back, needed the loo a lot, and skin crawling again. I think that I may have either a kidney or urine infection. I had to call staff to come in and take over, leaving the other dressmaker to teach the lesson, and I came home to bed. Paracetamol, pint of water and bed with the electric blanket.
I had to get up again of course to go and Collect DGD.
We have had noodles for tea, quick and easy and DGD loves them.
Now the washing machine is back on, and I'm going to get ready for bed, watch tv or read till DGD is ready to sleep.

I'm awake. Have been listening to my Motivation Hypnosis tape. The paracetamol may just have taken the edge off for me. The electric blanket stayed on for about an hour and then I was too hot and rolled over onto the cooler side of the bed, but I have it back on just now for the ache in my back. Cup of tea is brewing beside me and I am trying to work out if I could manage the morning at work or if I need one day at home ( pottering not sleeping though staying warm and at home), however it would mean that I would have to give staff time off tomorrow and Friday instead.
I will see how I am in an hour.
My Meat delivery for the month etc is due today. Steaks were on special offer with 10 for £25. They will go in the freezer, individually shrink wrapped with my brilliant little gadget, but we may have one each tonight with chips as I had potatoes in my Approved Food delivery yesterday.
I can't remember what else I bought but I don't think I ordered chicken as we had still quite a bit left since the December order.

I went to work and managed in the end although with the shop door continually opening I got cold easily. I used the wheat bag heated in the microwave to keep my kidneys warm.
This afternoon I seem to have wasted faffing about at home and watching A place to call home" I seem to be addicted to it!
My meat order did arrive before I went to work, and there were fresh vegetables in it too.
I changed my mind about steak tonight as there are chicken breasts cooked that still need eating. So a stir fry for tea instead.

Wrapped up warm, had a better day.
Walked to school, came home and cleaned the kitchen and found space for the jars and packets fromAF. Drove to work, spent 2 hours sorting out a problem with my tax return that had gone astray, and paid the fine ouch! Costly mistake. Apparently I have two different Gateway accounts!!
Then spent the afternoon sewing. In the hour before collecting DGD I did housework in the sitting room and sorted out dinner.
Kept the washing machine moving etc.
Had a friend over in the evening.
This morning I was awake earlier but still been lazy and tucked up in bed with my cup of tea.
Going to launch into the day properly in a minute. DGD is also awake earlier then normal.
Today's plan is to walk to school and back. Find my business files and drive to work to take them with me. Decided they can stay in the shop now as I want to declutter my home.
Have an hour sorting out the children's lessons for tomorrow and then continue with the alterations.
I have also an Indian ladies dress to make, panels provided but no pattern!
It is the cheapest horrible material that I have ever been given to work with.
This evening I hope to still have the get up and go to tackle the ironing pile again.
So time to move, wrap up warm and cease the day m.

Could be worth posting that bit on the Cutting Tax board, and putting in an appeal?

Are you sitting down? Then I shall begin.
I was awake early, washing moved on, clothes on airer, breakfast done, shower etc all before 8.15.
Started to sort out a bag full of random sewing paraphernalia, boxes of fabrics and cushions, all loaded in the car ready and waiting to take to work. Planned to make Mother's Day cushions with the children this afternoon. All good.
Except the car decided otherwise and would not start, alarms bipping and beeping at me telling me that there were engine faults etc not allowing me to even turn over the engine. So I had to walk to work at breakneck speed to be there in time to open at 9.30.
I scraped in. Then I started to work on jobs that were needed today, I had interruption after interruption, and just one of those days. The zip wouldn't go in, and had to redo it, urgent mends needed doing, and fittings were late, teaching had to be changed as stuff was in the car. You know one of those days. Then staff told me a man had brought a jacket in that he said we had replaced the zip in and it had come undone, shoddy work he said.
So I stopped to look at it.
It wasn't a zip I had done, one I know my own sewing, but two it was the original Barbour zip. I can't get an original zip from Barbour if I wanted too.
So I am really disgruntled that he was so rude etc to staff and demanding it fixed when it was the original coat that was shoddy work and not mine!
In the children's class the machines were temperamental and I felt like the world was against me, and then walking home the sunshine decided to disappear and the heavens opened on me!
Needless to say I have a headache and feel arggggggh!!!!

Wow, you did well to spot the zip. That's quite cynical and calculating of the guy, - not to mention dishonest - trying to get his zip replaced for free. I hope you have a better day today.

Oh poor Mooloo, what a day! (((HUGS))) I hope the car problem turns out to be something simple like a loose connection.

    Afternoon.
After I had taken my paracetamol and had a cup of tea I went out to the car to see what was up, and it started first time!!
Something to do with the key fob not being close enough to the key (it's broken and is attached via a cable tie!), as it disabled vehicle as if I was breaking into it!
So in the evening I was able to go to see Biggest of Mooloo's and take some bedroom accessories over for the baby's room.
Today we had a lazy day, but we did go out at lunch time to B&M to get a new dustpan and brush, waste paper bin, and laundry bag for DGDs room as her one was dangerous. The wire was unraveling and sticking through the bag and could easily have poked an eye out.
I have been doing a habadashery order for the shop this afternoon.
I would have liked to get the ribbon display but the prices are out of my league. A 1metre stand is over £1,200 plus vat of course.
So I have had to buy a bunch of 3m bundles at £35 instead from another company, just so we have some variety in the ribbons section.
That's my months quota of stuff spent!
I didn't sleep well the last few nights so I am hoping I will sleep better tonight as I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow.

That's horrible, the man trying to steal a zip repair from you, I'm astonished at the bare faced cheek.
