Drove to work, spent 2 hours sorting out a problem with my tax return that had gone astray, and paid the fine ouch! Costly mistake. Apparently I have two different Gateway accounts!!
You have had a response on Cutting Tax, suggesting you should be able to appeal it.

I am concerned about my DGD. She is complaining of tummy pains and when I quizzed her about the where, when and how, it appears that she was thumped and kicked in the chest at school yesterday trying to stop two boys from fighting, and that she hadn't told me straight away, indeed neither did the school tell me, as she got into trouble with the TA for fighting.
A trip to the school, possibly one to the doctors and how to talk to my good friend that her son is a bully!!
Her daughter is Autistic and very troubled and is inclined to beat the mum up in rage, and it looks like the son is going to be copying the violence he sees at home in his little life.
I don't want to fall out with the Mum and go in like a raging bull, but he must be stopped and DGD must try to stay away from the boy when he is in a rage. We need to find ways to let her find help to intervene with out her feeling like a tell tale on her friends.
We also need to find out why the school didn't tell me of the incident and see if DGD may have to have an X-ray to the chest if she doesn't feel better soon. Ofcourse with an 8 year old you can't tell how much of it is truth, exaggerated or imagined and whether it is a ploy to mask other problems like her not doing school homework etc.

I have quite a lot of sewing to get through today ready for fittings etc and can not afford to waste time today, we'll all week really.
Twin 2 borrowed £20 again at the weekend and I worked out she had borrowed £65 this last month! So When her DLA arrived this morning I held back £35 of it and have sent her a text to once again explain the fact that she has to budget and that this month onwards the bank of Mum has closed again as I need the money for us.
She's not going to like that, but she messaged me with a new telephone number and on Facebook she is talking about a new phone so her priorities are wrong as to be expected but very frustrating for me, as I try to save money as fast as I can for the dropped curb, and then to repay my CC for the Easter holiday.
Here I am trying to EBay costume jewellery etc to raise a few pounds here and there, and I am sustaining one of the twins!

Twin2 didn't reply to my text or query the amount of money that I transferred. I put the money back in my savings account.
Work was very busy with questions and inquiries etc, and people collecting and dropping off clothing. Which is good in one way but not for my productivity out put!
I am having to work today as well. Hopefully my Mum can manage without me changing the bed and hoovering for a few more days.
Luckily there is a One Stop shop just behind her house and she can manage to get across to get essential supplies if needed.
I brought some work home last night but I didn't have the energy or inclination to sew in the end. It is all hand sewing of bling on to bedding for the travelers.
I better get a move on and get dressed! School run in 12 minutes! Eek where did the time go?

It's great your business is doing well. It's hard with adult children borrowing money and not budgeting their own money. You really can't win, I find. If you don't give them money when they run out, then the worry is do they have food to eat, have the got money for the electricity and gas. If you give them money, you're enabling them. They then just spend like they have heir income and yours, not fussing too much about budgeting because they always have you to fall back on. Now I take the view if they can afford to do things like buy clothes, go out on the town etc when they get paid, they can do without my money because they clearly have plenty of their own. I know you can't do this with yours because they are not in the same town, but I've really tightened up. I buy bread and potatoes, but not chocolate and fizzy, and no money at all. There's water in the tap. They can fill up a bottle to take with them. One of my children pronounced that plan as "gross". Well, hey, work longer hours.

On the flip side, at least mine only want money from time to time. A friend of mine, a grandma who works full time, has just had her son on the phone whinging that she doesn't do her share of baby sitting compared to his MIL, who doesn't work. His wife wants to go back to full time work, but they are balking at the cost of child care. She couldn't believe her ears when he said, since she didn't do her share of baby sitting, how about she cough up some money towards the child care?!

    That's awful!
Twin2 scrapes by on her ESA and DLA, as she house shares I don't know how much they take from her for amenities and food but I have an idea they would not leave her money for going out or clothes.

I have 30 minutes to rest before the school run. So feet up and a cup of tea.
The rain last night kept me awake more than I would have liked and I am really tired now.
I was working on a jacket I am making for a customer for the first two hours of the day, then worked on some smaller jobs till 1.30. The lady came in about the jacket about half an hour after I had stopped sewing it.
She chatted about the next few makes she wants me to do.
Looks like she will keep me busy.

I can understand your customer. Having someone who can make something which hangs right, especially if you are not an off the rack shape, would be a great find.

Only one moan out of DGD about her chest pain, so it must be improving.
I was in bed at the same time as she was last night.
Twin1, (her Mum), skyped last night. Her Partner has found a job. So it won't be so easy for them to come up and down. It is unfortunate that it's a zero hour contract, with Symtec the temporary traffic lights people, but it is a job. Let's hope that this is the turning point for them, but also that Twin1 can manage the baby's needs etc when Dad goes to work.
Still nothing from twin2 or DS.
Biggest went to see my Mum for me and did the beds etc as I needed to work yesterday morning.
Today I need to be on the ball, try and find polite ways to cut the conversation with customers that just want to chat as it is affecting my work load.
Last night I realised that I only have 3 weeks before my holiday and I will need to have rent and wages, and all the other bills funds in the bank, so I need motivation and imagination too get customers in and out and to try to get the retail side of the business buzzing.
As I am not a natural sales person that is not so easy for me to do.
I need more people to be aware of the fabrics, ribbons etc that we have.
So I must look for local craft groups and get them visiting.
For now I better get dressed and do the school run!

I tried to keep to my schedule but it doesn't work when I have to serve in the shop or people need fittings that are not scheduled in to the day!
Went to the local pub last night with my friend and her two kids for our tea. DGD is not adventurous as she has the same dinner every day.
