I LOVE the sound of that, how cool (pardon the pun) and personal both to where you live, the type of weather that year and also what you choose! Well I'm buying some knitting needles, I have crochet hooks, I just need wool (that hasn't featured in my stash as I have been mostly a stitcher)greentiger wrote: »The temperature blanket, Charly?
You do a row in a colour according to the day's temperature.
I decided on 11 temperature bands, eg 1 - 4 is one band, and chose 11 colours.
I'm doing a zig zag crochet blanket. Because you can only do a row at a time, it's less daunting. I check what the temperature was at noon in the nearest town to where i live and that decides what colour the row will be. You could just take a note and do the row when it suits.
If you google it, you can see lots of variations of the temperature blanket.
I'll post a pic at the end of January.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things &Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Read 47/100 2025 all owned or borrowed.

I like this FOS, I've not dared to explore X stitch too much as I fear I'd never finish 'harbour lights' but sometimes it must be nice to jiggle about a bit. What does everyone else too, a WIP at a time or dip in and out?flowerofscotland wrote: »Greentiger. Love the concept of the temperature blanket but I've given up attempting to learn crochet.
I have another finish which I have posted in the group

Merry and bright is lovely, fos.
Well, my first project is finished - my laundry bin liner. It's not very exciting and it was a quickie, but I feel I'm allowed because I've a couple of year long projects
I made 2 last year, but, stupidly, cut my fabric 10" too short and didn't notice until I was putting one into the bin. Grrr! I had the right measurements, just cut it wrong!

Your cards are lovely, Charly. When I saw the basket one on Flickr, I thought the basket was made with lolly sticks!
I've got started on my Morsbags. This will be another ongoing project. I've no number in mind to make; it'll be a filler and a user up of whatever I can find, lol.
