    lovely cross stitch, mrs-m.

Great blocks Mrs M, I subscribed to this mag for a few issues then gave it up as a bad job. I was lucky to get a lot of the fabric that came with the mag on Ebay last year and with my own stash from these mags have come in most useful for my projects .I like to lay my fabrics out then think of ways to use them, I am making loads of patchwork cushion covers and cloths for my sideboard and side tables. Not to every ones taste but I like them.

These are amazing MrsMP and I love both the patchwork blocks and the X stitch. Cariad is one of my favourite Welsh words. What's that blanket you are making GreenT? Have two more cards to post tomorrow, or may be 3!

    The temperature blanket, Charly?

You do a row in a colour according to the day's temperature.
I decided on 11 temperature bands, eg 1 - 4 is one band, and chose 11 colours.
I'm doing a zig zag crochet blanket. Because you can only do a row at a time, it's less daunting. I check what the temperature was at noon in the nearest town to where i live and that decides what colour the row will be. You could just take a note and do the row when it suits.
If you google it, you can see lots of variations of the temperature blanket.
I'll post a pic at the end of January.

  • Greentiger. Love the concept of the temperature blanket but I've given up attempting to learn crochet.

I have another finish which I have posted in the group
