My nephew worked at Iceland as a Saturday Boy when he was in the 6th Form and his main job seemed to be tidying the freezer contents all day long:rotfl:. People used to dig down to the bottom for whatever pack they wanted disturbing everything else big-time. He used to tell people it was all new stock and everything had the same use-by date but it fell on deaf ears:(. What they were searching for is a mystery.
I once worked at a clothing store as a temp when things like jumpers were piled on tables and counters all neatly folded up. Despite us telling people that they were all the same size etc they still rummaged through the tidy piles to fish one out from underneath:eek:. One of my main jobs was re-folding and arranging, it was so boring and totally unneccessary:mad:
Yep, we've still got jumper tables and it is sooooo annoying when I've stood there for 20 minutes sorting it all out and just as I'm finishing, a customer comes along and upsets a pile right in front of me . And don't get me started on the folded jeans!!
We found a top yesterday that looked like someone had taken either a stanley knife or a pair of scissors and hacked away at the sleeve - I mean, what is wrong with these people??

Well, that leaflet/brochure delivery job I'd been booked to do tomorrow is OFF. Mixed feelings as the rain is torrential here, has been all night, and the lane outside is partially flooded. Don't think it will threaten our house but it's not good driving and walking weather:eek:. Plus, the grass verges are quagmires as vehicles have to pull over if anything bigger than cars try to pass so I wasn't looking forward to a day squelching through it tomorrow. My boots aren't really waterproof and wellies would be the sensible option but I find it impossible to drive in them:eek:.
So I'm pleased to not have to do it but sorry that the money, pittance though it would be, won't be forthcoming after all:(
I'm very annoyed though because the woman who booked me 'forgot' to let me know the job had been cancelled by whoever wanted the brochures delivering. It was only because I chased her up on the phone this morning for the emailed area map she promised me and details of when/where I was to pick up the brochures that I got to know I wouldn't be needed after all. Apparently she knew yesterday lunchtime:mad:
I hope you're having a better day today, Emz:)0 -

That's awful CBC. If they're that bad with letting you know that the job has been cancelled, I hate to think what getting paid would have been like.

Morning
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. 3 days off work now :j
Some progress has been made. I received £10 from a couple of MS jobs and I've also claimed a £10 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks.
I also won £120 yesterday on a bingo site. Found some free funds in there (always worth doing the rounds at least once a month as you never know what you'll find), managed to turn them into cash and played on the slots. I actually withdrew £120.02, so that evens out my total a bit. Should be in my account around Wednesday/Thursday.
Means I've got £130 left to find for this month's payment. Not too shabby. My plan is to really blitz Textbroker this coming week and see what I can get for the next payment run on Thursday.

That's a brilliant result from the free money in your account:T. Well done and well done also for keeping checking the other accounts for free money. Must try mine;).
Signed up with lots of sites a few years ago when the cashback sites were awash with bingo offers and then the sites themselves were throwing free money at us to play with. I know I haven't any of my own money in there but might find some freebies if I take the time to look. No idea what I did with my list of bingo site usernames and passwords though:o. Will have to use the 'forgotten password' buttons.
Let's hope I've had some good luck next time I pop in here:beer:
Have a good day, Emz:)0 -

Wow to the online wins lately. If you could recommend any sites that do free spins etc I would appreciate the tip off.

Managed to try to log in to various bingo sites that I used to have accounts with years ago and they all said my internet address isn't registered and I haven't an account with them:eek:. I've only ever had this Internet address so I just wonder if they close and cancel unused accounts after a certain amount of time has elapsed and wipe people off their system:think:.
If so, it might be worth trying to re-register (using the cashback sites;)) and also taking advantage of the new member free money offers:j
No time today, will give it a go tomorrow and let you know if I was successful:T
I hope you're having a good weekend so far, Emz:beer:0 -
I've been a bit sidetracked so never got round to investigating free money on the bingo sites. Must do better:o
I hope everything's well with you Emz and that you enjoyed your days off:j. Knowing your determination you were probably working flat-out on your other money-making ventures;)0
