Day off today :j
I've completed a couple of Prolific surveys worth £7 between them- hopefully the £5.50 one gets accepted as it didn't click back through to the website like it usually does.
Got my TB article for the day - just need to write it, but will probably do that this evening.
Doing a few more surveys to get another Amazon voucher redeemed.
eBay parcel fiasco is still ongoing - the courier still hasn't marked it as being delivered!! Hermes may be cheap, but I'm getting annoyed with them.

TB article done and one lined up for tomorrow already
. With the one done today, I've got about £20 in my account. I can cashout on Thursday for a Monday payment (although as it's bank holiday, it might be Tuesday).
I ended up doing £8.45 worth of Prolific surveys today. When (and if) they all get accepted, I'll be up to £15 in my account on there.
Got some surveys sat in my inbox, so will get those done before going to bed.

You're doing really well, Emz:T
I love Prolific! I imagined the surveys would dry up during the summer months but they have been coming thick and fast recently:j. Obviously the researchers aren't working the usual academic terms. They are so quick to send the money when redeemed too:T. Not like some:(0 -
Thanks CBC
- all of my surveys have been approved, apart from one I did on Monday for £1.25. Glad the £5.50 one got approved!!
I'm working today 4-8. I must get my TB article written before lunch (fine once I get started with them, just takes me a while to get going). My one yesterday got accepted, so I've got £20 that's payable at the moment.
We're doing a carboot on Sunday (hopefully), so I'm also setting myself the task of finding another 50 items to add to it before then. I'm doing it with my sister and mum. We've got a fair amount already, but I want to clear some of the clutter, and we're not planning on doing another one in the near future, so this is my only chance to sell as much as possible.
I've just found 5 toiletry items to add, so 45 to go.

TB article done yesterday and I've managed to get one for today. My aim is to get it done before I have to start work at 5pm and hope they accept it at some point today so I can claim it before midnight. I'm up to around £23 at the moment. Guess the sooner I get it done, the better chance of that.
I'm up to 9 items on my carboot hunt - must try harder. Found an old game, pair of shoes, laptop bag and football yesterday.
Another £2.20 in Prolific surveys done yesterday. £14.75 cleared and £2.45 pending.
Must try and find time for some other surveys too. Oh, and got someone hopefully buying something I put on Gumtree for £5 this evening after work.

Up early due to coughing
. On the plus side - 4 days off work!! :j
I wrote the TB article and it got accepted in time. I've claimed a payment of £28. I've already got another one lined up to write this morning (once OH has gone to work).
Pinecone have finally sorted themselves out, so I've claimed a £5 voucher from them and am only 1 survey away from another. Also claimed £5 from My Survey, so up to £20 in the Chinchilla cage fund.
No more Prolific surveys yesterday (boo!!), but another got approved, so I'm on £16 with £1.20 pending. Will be checking like mad today to see if I can get any more.
No other carboot stuff found yet, although the Gumtree woman did buy 2 things I was selling for £8.

The last few days have been a bit meh. I've lost any enthusiasm I had. The carboot wasn't held today, so we're going to try and do it next week instead. Probably worked out for the best actually as the weather has been a bit pants. Gives me time to sort some more stuff out too. Nothing else done. Need a kick up the backside.
Has anyone seen The Martian? I've seen it before, but watched it again recently. It's an excellent film - very inspirational. He's basically stranded on Mars and has to find ways to survive. There's a line in it that goes:
At some point, everything's gonna go south on you... everything's going to go south and you're going to say, this is it. This is how I end. Now you can either accept that, or you can get to work. That's all it is. You just begin. You do the math. You solve one problem... and you solve the next one... and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home.
I guess trying to get out of debt is like that. You find a way to clear one debt, then another, and another....and eventually you'll be debt free.
I need to keep reminding myself that every little thing I do will eventually help me get out of debt. It's not going to happen overnight, but one by one, they will get paid off, and I will reach my goal. It's just going to take time.
So a few mini goals for September:
1. I will get enough vouchers to buy that Chinchilla cage from Amazon. My girls need it and I'll be happier when they're in a more suitable home.
2. I will join and complete the £10 a day challenge. I've attempted it before and run out of steam early on. I know I can do it and I feel the need to prove this to myself more than anything.
3. I'm going to reach the daily goal on Swagbucks every day to get the full bonus in October. Another thing I've often tried, but never quite managed. Think I've done a fortnight before.
Night night

Thanks for posting that inspirational quote, Emz:T. I'd not heard it before, or seen The Martian for that matter:o. Unlike you I'm not into films at all. It's been years since I went to the cinema and even when they're on TV I don't bother with them. Give me a good book everytime:j
Yes, please join us (again;)) on the £10 A Day Challenge:beer:. It keeps me on the straight and narrow and the camaraderie (sp?) along the way is fun.
Shame about your car boot sale but if the weather was iffy it was probably for the best. There seems so much for people to do this weekend anyway, at least round here for a change. Everything seems to be going on at the same time which often means footfall at any one thing is low. Next weekend might be a lot better all round for you. I'm busy doing other things this weekend but hope to do one next Sunday to make the most of what's left of the warmish weather and lighter dawns.
Enjoy what's left of your days off:beer:0 -
Thanks Buffy and CBC
It's going to be a tight few weeks, until OH gets paid again. I had to pay off the PS4 I got him for his birthday last year (on my mum's Argos card). Wish I had saved up through the year instead, but at least it's paid now.
The animals needed some stuff. I had a wheel that I was going to give the chinchillas, but I don't think they would have used it (not like the degus, who go nuts for theirs). I didn't have my receipt (got it ages ago), but Pets at Home took it back and let me get some other stuff to replace it (£17 worth of food etc). So the animals are hopefully sorted for the month.
