OK, I could join clubs etc, but I am in Essex and we all know or have heard how Essex girls are like (18 and pregnant etc) and people here don't really join clubs (scarcely populated area) etc. It would be worthy to join clubs in London, but it's a bit too far.

Now, now. There are some people in Essex whose IQ stretches to double-digits you know :p :rotfl:

And the tarty-but-not-very-clever stereotype fits the men, too these days. Are you like those men on TOWIE? Or an Essex boy-racer type? I doubt it.

I would carry on with the online dating and see how you get on.

I see now what the problem is. It's you. If you write off the women of an entire county in one fell swoop then your attitude is the biggest hindrance you've got.

I am having trouble finding partner for serious relationship. In most networking sites, most women say only chat, only friendship, etc. Apart from that, most women have already children and are single mums. Last, most women don't even look at you unless you look like a model. Should I completely ditch online search or do I do something wrong? But again, where could I meet someone? Is it normal to start talking to a total stranger in the pub? What do you advise me?
I don't think English is your first language. Not a problem in itself, but it does suggest that there may be cultural issues to overcome before any woman will give you the time of day.

We have a well-known phrase in English: "beggars can't be choosers".

I think if you change your attitude a bit you might have more luck. Essex women are really no different to any other county and to suggest this tells me you need to get out more.

Instead of thinking women are dismissing you for your looks have you considered it might be your personality that's the problem?
Personally, I would like to meet a decent man who would accept that I have a history (and I would assume he would have one too). I have children, and was married when they were born (they all have the same father). My marriage didn't work out, but there are many others that don't. I'm in my mid-forties and dating seems unlikely for me. I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone, but I'm not desperate - and I'm afraid, OP, you come across as a bit desperate as well as very judgemental.

Personally I wouldn't date women with children but this is more due to the attitudes this brings and also for the fact I don't want my own children so I wouldn't particularly want anyone else's either. It's totally fair enough that women already have children and plenty of men wouldn't consider this a problem but it's not for me.

Come on, who joins clubs these days? Only retired people. I am not that old to join a club to find a grannie to marry. That's ridiculous. I just saw in meetup.com the groups and I mostly see people in their 50s. I need a good alternative. Anyone tried speed-dating?

PS: I will NEVER date woman with kids, for all those women here that get hurt by seeing men thinking like that, DEAL WITH IT!!!
