  • Hello sorry I've been MIA the last few days.

Yesterday was not NSD as we had to do the weekly shopping. £46 spent. 90% of our food requirements have been purchased so will probably just need to do a very stop top up shop in the middle of the week for bananas bread and milk.

    My recent wombles:
    1. Only paid 2 pence for us lettuce instead of £1 - 98p to add to total
    2. 55p cash back from shoptise
    3. 9p from cos and csnap
    4. 40p from total cshbck
    5. 97p APG
    6. DS2 had his eye tests this afternoon and luckily the frames he chose are free under the NHS so it has cost us NOWT for 2 pairs of eyeglasses.

    Total for today £2.99
    Overall total: £134.2

Did some batch cooking last night.
    1. Big pot of chicken stew split between last night's supper and tonight's dinner.
    2. Butternut squash shop split in 4 tubs for 4 packed lunches this week.

That is a good bit of Intel MM thank you. You don't need a coupon to claim the freebie?

No - just ask at the Tesco pharmacy. I just said I had read somewhere that they were giving away goody bags and then the assistant went off to get one. The lady behind me was v happy as she didn't know about it but got given one as well

Some great womble reports :T Will try to get to a Tesco with a pharmacy for my freebies. That means I'll have to actually leave the house to do this....hmmm...

Hubby came home with another free flash drive (4GB) today. Similar ones on EBay for around £2.50, so I think I'll add £2 to my womble total. He's working on getting me a discount at a posh hairdressers, who is a new customer - that would be wonderful!

Also, the stonemasons building my wall dug three exploratory holes for me as my surveyor wants to see how far down our foundations go (or if they just rested on the mud :rotfl:) No charge, as I keep them well supplied with coffee and cake. No price possible on friendly workmen ;)
  • Couple of good Wombles for me today.
    1. David Bowie greatest hits CD - given to me by a work colleague when I mentioned that I fancied getting some of his music. He didn't want it as he already had the entire back catalogue. Checked on iTunes and it's £11.99 at the moment.
    2. Cat food on offer at Mr S for £8, along with ys eggs, sausages, bread, milk and coconut cookies for the kids coming in at another £2.01. Paid for with points plus 1p that I wombled from the car earlier on - so £10.01 of shopping for free.
    Happy days :D
  • Hi Wombles,
Not much to report from me i'm afraid. Was walking with my friend and found two 2p coins but we have this rule whoever finds any coins gives them to the other. So nowt for me. Love reading about all your wombling adventures.

May I join this cool gang?

  • Hi wombles,

I've finally got the knack! Wombled 3 4 and 5 nectar points from abandoned receipts at Mr S, and 2p roadkill at the self serve till in Mr T.
Hummed and hawed about buying a pre pay prescription certificate last week, bought it as should save at least one prescription charge over 3 months.
Ended up in hospital at the weekend (nothing serious!!) came out with 3 prescriptions so the pre pay will save me at least 4 prescription charges all in all! Not sure if that's a womble but I was happy with it!
