OMG I have spent way too much on y's items this week - too much of a bargain to resist - will update totals tomorrow but way over budget !!!
I did manage to get 5 big fillet steaks tonight for 55 pence each, 2 small pieces of cod loin - 55 pence, loads of Mr m's pie's from the hot counter (about 12) all 9 pence each to give to DD, 2 packs of chicken drumsticks for the dogs 25 pence each, and joints of stuffed belly port for 55 pence each.
Then I had to go to Mr T's for chick wings for dogs (not in budget grocery budget, as I won't compromise their food) and bought 3 pack of grapes for 2 pence each, 10 packs of savoury sausage meat/egg thingies for 2 pence each but I bought a bottle of wine - oops
On Thursday I spent £82.50 on shopping for DD and grandkids, so won't include in budget as she is struggling at the minute and needs a bit of help
I also spent a bit on y/s for myself - mainly steaks at 99 pence each and loads of cooked meat @ 25 pence a bag - approx 6 oz in each bag which I have frozen in sealy sucky bags. I useually use the beef, pork, chicken and turkey for roast dinners warmed up in gravy after defrosting and the ham for sarnies and dog treats.
I dehydrated a joint of beef this week (was 55 pence y/s) in slices to make beef jerky for dog treats - they love it. It made a huge bag that will last for at least 3 weeks.
Oh well, will have to stop spending on y/s but find it difficult to resist a bargain !!! Freezers are jammed again so need to make a dent in them next week !!!Jan 2016 Grocery Challenge £50.95/£200.00

Hi all
I wombled my first receipt today in sainsbugs - only one point but I feel like a womble!
I missed off my first ys savings - £6 cheeseboard reduced to £1.45, however my budget for a block of cheese was £2.50 so think I should only claim £1.05?
I hate stilton, but have two types from the cheeseboard in the freezer, I'll donate them to a friend when she calls in.Jan 20 - NST challenge

I have to say that this rotten weather is somewhat hampering my wombling. I don't want to be out and about when it's constantly raining.
I am out and about today though, but it's still raining. I will keep an eye out though. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

It depends how you want to do it. If your normal food budget for a week is £70 for example and by buying YS food you genuinely have an extra £50 in your pocket again for example then you can claim you wombled £50. If you want to then use that saving for debt repayments then that great.
However if you just saw bargains and decided to spend more than budget on cheap food because it made sense then it's up to you if you declare that as a womble.
Either way you got something for a lot cheaper than you would have at full retail value and that's great!
For me a recent example is I spent £2.64 on a whole chicken that was usually £4. I claimed the difference for my score." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I have just cleared my entire freezer after eating leftovers for a week. It was great for my shopping budget we only spent £30 all week and £5 was on nappies. Good for you!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
