Sorry for not being able to post all weekend. Dinners for both Saturday and Sunday were free c/o 2 birthday parties that we attended. Yesterday's was my sister in law's and my nephew's. We had take home food as well which was our free LTW. Tonight's dinner is also free as my hubby's friend gave us free food. And I almost convinced it would break the NSD coz I was leaning towards fish and chips take away. Thank God for good friends."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150

Been MIA too....have had VomCity here but I think we're past the worst of it now
I've been gathering up windfall apples since I last posted and have been madly cutting, coring and steaming to extract juice. No idea how much in weight I collected, but I've ended up with seven 1.5 litre glass bottles full of a dark pink, very sweet juice! Result
"Value" apple juice is on sale for 65p/L. I'd like to think that mine is fresher, unsweetened and organic, so should command a premium, but I'll take £6.83 for my womble total.
Also picked 20 kilos of damsons and the five trees are still loaded. Can't find anywhere selling fresh damsons for a price comparison, so I'm going to randomly allocate a fiver to my total.
Oh, and 15 eggs from the girls = £1.50
I think I'll update my signature with my current total now...
ETA - hubby brought home some fancy tea bags from a work do. 15 bags - is 50p OK?
Hope you're back up and running with your new phone Bob. Rubbish luck.0 -

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. But it was a normal smart phone not apple. So all contacts were saved to the sim." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Accidental womble of £181 this morning, which is just odd.
S3v3rn Trent Wat3r just paid it into my account, so I rang them up to say 'Oi, you are supposed to have that money!' but it seems they did not change over from the old house to our new house so they have refunded the dd from April-Sept, and they are now going to bill me £100 less a year than before, and the DD to get the money back for the rest of the year has dropped £5 a month as well.
All very strange, but fine, if they want to throw money at my bank account, so be it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I am a long time reader of the moneysavingexpert - even used the site to help me write my dissertation in 2012
but ..... I was totally unaware of wombling!!!!
Where have you been all my life wonderful wombling forumites. I have lost and not wombled hundreds and hundreds of receipts and am having a wee cry now that I think about it.
Now I want to be a star womble. I have just made around 9 GBP by checking our two last online shops. I also feel like I lived under a rock. Oh well I am happy I crawled from underneath it. I am off sick these past few weeks so cant walk much or far. This should get better over next 4-8 weeks. The beauty of wombling is I can combine it with my walking and or running regime. And I can even do some charity fundraising and environmental work for the community in one swift swoop. I am besides myself Im so excited. Exercise, money saving, fundraising and doing good deeds for the planet!0 -
Welcome into the light Bunny! Always nice to have another convert.:j
I managed to 'win' £3 of Amazon vouchers this afternoon,
And have found the next 3 rooms worth of wallpaper - all reduced down to £7.50 a roll or less. I had never realised quite how er, :oshall we say 'sexual' :oa lot of wallpaper is. I have looked at many many wallpaper websites over the last 24 hrs .... or maybe I am just obsessed:rotfl:....Either way you wouldn't want it all over your walls looking at you every day, you'd have nightmares.
Keep on wombling folks, even in this heat - or if you are in Manchester, waders.....4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
