Hi there I have been lurking here for ages, not really brave enough to post yet. I want to practise wombling first. Can someone explain what uploading receipts means.....how/ what do you do...do you get points ? Thanks
I'm only a beginner myself and I haven't been bitten. Yet.It really makes you think about what you're spending and how you can live for less and get over and above what you earn.
I've only been doing this for 3 months (badly compared to most on the board) and I'm at £1000 already!
So go for it. And welcome aboard...
Must get into uploading receipts too.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

A few wombles here.
I saved £5 off a £50 shop at Tesco using a voucher.
and a chocolate bar and some cakes from my parents for my husband after he did a bit of plastering for them.
My sister's clear out of her loft continues and she has passed on a lovely vintage suitcase that she planned to upcycle but never got around to. Plus she gave me a big pile of art books. I'll call the lot £5.
My wombling total so far this year is £249. Isn't it amazing how those little wombles add up.Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -
Thank you f0xh0les, I will try that. I shop in Aldi though does it work for stuff bought there. I would like to join though because I do womble a lot, just don't admit to it. I am trying to save up for some building work on the house so every penny does count
I don't know how to do the numbers that you all put at the bottom of your posts...sorry but slow !Wombling £457.410 -

We had a work party last night and I had a beer and a few olives, €3 (and a great time, but that is priceless!).
This morning I received a letter that I will receive a 2.43% pay rise (which I won't count as a womble), and that I will receive a 'representation allowance' of €40 per month, totalling €480 for the year. That's about half of what I hoped to receive; my colleague opposite me, who was recently promoted, will receive €175/month ..... As said earlier (maybe not on this thread): she deserves the promotion, but we both don't understand the huge gap between her and mine representation allowance.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
Wombled a free hot mocha from MaccyD (finally using the ticket dd gave me for my birthday), and a free hash brown that ds won on the Monopoly ticket. I'll need to research the cost of that though. Not giving up

Didn't get time to update yesterday, but made a great saving of £13.63 at Morrisons by using a £7 money-off coupon, a few YS items and promotional offers.
Have spent today chatting to two electricians about our plans for the house and the repairs needed, so no wombles today.
Siebrie - your pay rise (rare as hen's teeth in the UK) sounds unfair when compared to your colleague. Having recently been promoted, I assume they would've received a good pay rise then? Feeling disappointed for you0 -
I am lucky today, friend gave me a full packet of speciality tea that I love and he doesn't. .....about £2.50 I think. And a function I was at had those small packets of biscuits that you get with your tea.....and they gave me 6 packets that were over...about £1, I guess....so £3.50 today.
