I have nothing to report at the moment, but my dh had a wonderful womble last night. He had a work event, where partners were also invited. I did not go, because we did not want to hire a babysitter; my dds had already missed me 2 nights, I did not want to miss putting them to bed 3 nights in a row.
Anyway, it turns out that from about 70 colleagues, only 15 turned up, a few with partners. They had a speech and a snack in some pub, and then were taken to a clothes store, where they were allocated a personal shopper, and were allowed to pick a whole new outfit! Dh got a pair of trousers, a neat jacket, 2 button-down shirts, and a woollen sweater. What a great idea for a work event! It probably saved the company money, too, because people did not drink, they were having way too much fun trying on clothes.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -

Today I wombled well
My mother LOVES candles, she has thousands, for some reason she had put a draw full of candles on the patio, this was over a year ago. They had been put through the elements of snow, rain and heat.
Every time I go in the garden I see them. Today I popped out for a cigarette as I am round helping them have a spring clean and thought "ohhh I'll move them and put them in the skip" I then had a closer look and saw that apart from them being wet, they were all in a very good condition!
I have taken them in, sorted through them and am now the owner of 80+ wombled candles, some are your normal unscented tea light candles but some are very nice smelling Christmas candles
As some of you may know within 2 weeks I MAY just be the owner of my own canal boat, I will need to do some work on her and do some research on solar power, so candles will be one of my methods of light in the eveningit's weird how things work out
Imagine what gets thrown away in the dump which we could all reuse or sellliterally breaks my heart!
I shall upload pictures later of all the candlesDocumenting my journey from full time support worker to full time eBay reseller0 -
