Black Cabs and PH will be replaced by Johnny Cabs in the next ten to fifteen years.
We'll then have both camps moaning about driver less cars0 -
Yes I can.
It's called knowledge.
Can you disprove any of the things I have said?
How long did you work for Uber?
Just under 2 years for me.
From the beginning till it all went to crap.
Or do you just like to post up on matters you know nothing about?
Progress?
Uber is not progress!
It is a form or servitude.
Drivers are treated like Cannon Fodder. Sacked without right of reply. Rates are changed without input or discussion.
Would you like to turn up to work and have them say sorry but we are reducing your wages by £1 an hour?
What about being told you need to upgrade your car? And being given a couple of weeks notice.
Then after buying a new car Uber change their mind and allow cars three years older than the car you just sold are now allowed on your circuit!
All these things are stuff Uber have done to Uber drivers. Alongside cutting their rates to an almost unviable level this drivers need to attempt to "game" Surge so they can get decent rates.
It is a Ponzi scheme or a Bait&Switch.
You sound like one of the idiots that just loves to get home for next to nothing without considering the working conditions and hourly rate the person taking you home is on.
You probably buy a Starbucks or Costa for £3/4 but having the decency to give the Barista on minimum wage a tip.
I'm an idiot but you're the one ranting.
It's all just opinion you spout and you cannot back any of it up.
What work are you doing know? If you did everything you claimed to know about for 6 months you must be at least 150.0 -

Uber has already shown that a driver with no previous experience driving round London can make a half decent go of being a PH driver at Uber.
This is all a data gathering exercise as driverless minicabs are already being developed.
Though I think it will take them longer to introduce in the EU than in the USA.
The Americans have always been able to stomach slavery much better than their European cousins.
It's the American way. Fight your way to the top by any means necessary and take advantage of those below you.0 -

Salvery lol
Do you tip in McDonald's then?0 -
The PH game in London was dying long before Uber came along. Uber is just the latest excuse the LTDA has to demonise minicabs.0

The data gathering is a bonus, the real reason for Uber is to establish the brand in readiness for the driver less cars /cabs. Once they're introduced, Uber will not need to use other drivers or their vehicles, it will just run a fleet of it's own driver less cabs and massively increase it's profit.
Driver less cars are inevitable and in densely populated and congested cities such as London, the authorities will be welcoming to them than you believe as they will reduce congestion and accidents.
I'm not sure what your comment about slavery has to do with a driver less car unless you believe an intel microchip can be enslaved0 -

You clearly have led a very sheltered upbringing.
Even when working for the NHS I had sometimes 2 or 3 jobs in the go.
It's called "Working"
And "Working" is an activity performed by "Adults" now "Adults" often carry out the activity called "Work" for the sole purpose of "Providing" for their "Family".
Part of a "Family" are "Children".
Now the aforementioned "Adults" do this activity called " Working" as often as is needed and for as many hours as is needed.
During a "Working" life an " Adult" does many jobs, some for a few months some for a few years and sometimes for many years.
You can also term a "Working" life of an "Adult" a "Career".
Now sometimes people have a long uneventful "Career".
Some people like a varied "Career".
Some people think "Servitude" is "Progress"
Some people also live their entire life with their "Parents"
Others leave home at 18 and become "Adults" soon after.
What work am I doing now?
What work are you doing now?
Why should this thread be all about me?
Of course I understand why you want to hear from an "Adult".....0 -

I rarely use McDonalds unless my "Children" want something but I always put the change in the charity tray.
But it is good to see that McDonalds is your preferred place of eating.0 -

Because driverless cars are the future.
The near future in the US. The far future in the UK and EU.
At the moment they are encouraging drivers that know no better into getting huge loans which mean when they drop the rates the drivers who are too inexperienced to work elsewhere are stuck and have to work extra hours to make ends meet.
In a City like London I don't think driverless cars will work.
The roads in many areas are not compatible.
That is before you consider the problems such as vandalism, people peeing or vomiting in the vehicle and also the legal situation with people using driverless cars to transport guns and drugs round London using pay as you go credit/debit cards to sign up, like many have done with Uber and Hailo.
When I first joined Uber I signed up for a passenger account so I could see where the other drivers where.
I signed up with an unregistered Pay as you go card.
There is a lot of criminality and fraud surrounding the Uber platform, Hailo managed to sort most of it out. Though I think they ended up having problems with HailoExec which is likely the reason why HailoExec was quietly closed down at short notice.0
