    Hello lovelies.

Sorry I have been missing. Thanks for the birthday wishes I had a lovely day thank you.

Health wise every day I am still in pain but managing. My Goddaughters (well the eldest two) have been staying a few nights a week which I am loving.

I am using my fit bit lots to get my steps up as have put a few Lbs on which I am not happy with. Emailed the open uni to ask revision advice for exam resits.

    Just bimbiling along really.

Sending huge hugs and love to all. x

  • Trying to get my life in some sort of order, family can be so meh at times. On a plus side I have 4 less presents to buy! Apart from that life is pretty much the same, reading away here even if I'm not regularly posting as much as before. Everyone is in my thoughts. X

Peppa sounds as though things went well - delighted to hear it and fingers crossed for no chemo.
Free hope the doctors is less stressful than you imagine and you buy something nice to eat and drink afterwards as a make-it-up-to-yourself treat.
Vulpix hope you have a lovely, stress-free, birthday weekend. Happy birthday for Saturday!
JJ if I were to tell you that I can cry for a fortnight over a papercut, then you'd know how brave I think you are. Keep smiling!
    Good weekend all x

Peppa glad it all went well fingers crossed now for no chemo needed. You sound upbeat too, which helps the physical recovery.
Vulpix, have a happy birthday tomorrow,
JJ good to see you, yuck to the pain, l don't know how you tolerate it, hope it goes soon. Good luck with the resits. xx
DGS was sent home from school yesterday due to a power cut, so he was around a lot, helping with changing beds and carrying stuff upstairs, and generally trying to get into the good books, (wonder what he wants/has done, time will tell).
Fave cous has had her op and is home, cant drive for a fortnight, and she is fed up already! lm going to collect her today after DDs appointment with the orthotist, and entertain her for the afternoon.
well, gossip and natter at least. Off to take DGS to school now.

Well I am on a roll today already had the dog out and my 3rd load of washing is in later on I will be taking on my car insurance renewal quote almost £300 !! no way I'm paying that . I'm with Hastings at the moment but Tesco are coming in at £220.

Christmas wise I will be delivering my parents gifts next month assuming I can figure out how to sort out my Tagul issue. I will also leave all birthday cards for them .

DD's meds are working a treat she goes for her Pre op assessment on the 21st so hopefully her implant will be out soon, its been switched off for a few weeks now and it hasn't made a blind bit of difference.

Update-A quick call to Hastings and my renewal is now £223 .Why do they send out such inflated renewal quotes if they can do it at a much cheaper price.

Morning everyone, well i am back from the drs, she was great, i wrote everything down in the notes section on my phone and handed it to her, because i knew i was going to babble and not get the most important things said, i had to have a rectal examination and she prodded the area i am getting the worst pains, she is pretty sure it is my colon spasming, but to be on the safe side i have to have bloods done, (3 weeks i have to wait for them ) she wanted to see me back within a month!!! She has changed my painkillers and agrees that the other ones started all this, but the first thing the pharmacist said was these can cause constipation :eek: they will be for my ibs and fibro and she has upped the dose of the diazepam for my anxiety, so i feel a lot better that it is my colon (i wasnt sure what organs were in the area of pain)

MURIE thankyou, how are you are things any better?

I have finally caught up on all of the posts after a few weeks away from the forum. So far I have finished all birthday and Father's Day presents and cards up to July and have come under budget on all of them. I have got a few animal presents for Christmas in my local pet shops clearance corner, a Christmas cat stocking with toys for 50p, a extra large nylabone for £5.00 (might be for dogs birthday in November) a squeaky Christmas candy cane for 25p and a squeaky Christmas pudding ball for 20p. So that's all the animals Christmas gifts sorted.:T And if anything should happen to the pets, their gifts would Go to a animal shelter. I know some people don't like buying pets Christmas gifts as they think that if they die what would happen to the gifts. But I find it easier and cheaper to get the animal presents in the sales.

I have finished my birthday and Christmas and other occasions spreadsheets so I can keep an eye on prices and budgets and gift ideas throughout the year.

On eb@y last week I bagged some Christmas treat bags for the hampers I am making this year. In my local charity shop last week in a corner I saw a box of cards, on further look they were all hallmark brand new cards a mixture of birthdays and Christmas. So I got a load of them, they were priced 25p - 70p .:j

Wow, a huge well done on being so organized! And very MSE too :money:
Hi all, I have been AWOL again due to house stuff. We've had a stressful few weeks but have finally secured a rental property for the next 6 months or so, so we can relax a bit now. Phew. We are due to complete on our sale and move out on the 11th April. My mother's day was a mixed bag, I was in tears in the morning as we cut off Wiggle's beautiful curls, it had to be done as they were getting wild and also matted at the back. He does look cute with his haircut though. I had a lovely 'Mummy' hearts Emma Bridgewater mug, a house magazine to help plan the decorating in our new house and a lovely 'coloured in' picture of a rose and butterfly. I also got croissants in bed, but DH and I were arguing on and off so it wasn't the most relaxing sit in bed! We argued on and off all day as we were really stressed about finding a rental, we had seen three the day before and nothing seemed to be working out for us. Thankfully that's over now! I bought some 'Mum' and 'Grandma' mugs half price in Waitrose yesterday, I will use them for birthdays or Christmas and pop in individually wrapped teabags and biscuits etc.

mrsinvisible ah, a clip and climb party seems so obvious now! Thanks for explaining. I hope the dentist went well!

murie and freespirit after all these lovely comments i'm starting to think I should have said I made the chalkboard sign myself! :p

newthrift ooh what a great present, i'd love to have some proper sewing lessons. I think i'll look into it when I move.

Peppapig sorry this is late as I haven't been on for a few days but I really hope that the op went well and that you are recovering well. Looking forward to hearing from you! Xx

freespirit oh it really must feel like your DD2 isn't getting anywhere, I hope they can do some things to help her. Yay for DD1, that's fab news! It sounds like she deserves it. I'm so glad to hear the pain has eased for you!

fiesty really good to hear from you! I remember those days – impossible to get anything done! I think the extent of my cleaning back then was to wipe an anti-bacterial wipe over things and that would have to do! Yay for baking a cake, it's funny how baking a cake becomes a major achievement when you have a baby! The sling is brilliant for that, I baked many a cake with Wiggle in the sling – and put the washing on the line!

Treasurequeen you sound organised! I bet it's nice knowing you are way ahead with everything.

Oh Princess, I am so happy you've managed to find a rental! That must have been very stressful and I'm not surprised it caused some cross words, although I am sorry that it impacted on your Mother's Day. The sling was a bit of a life saver yesterday as little Miss Feisty is having a whiny few days and for the last 3 weeks or so has refused to be put down when awake. If it wasn't for the sling nothing would be done!
Afternoon everyone, i just had a real doh!! moment i was wrapping birthday presents and making DD2s SW version of a sweetie bouquet and decided to wrap Thumpers BAB Dinosaur that i got last year in the sale, i couldnt get it to roar, tried and tried and tried and was absolutely gutted, thought to myself right i am never buying from there again then just as i was putting it back in the box i felt something in the foot and realised i was pressing in completely the wrong place :rotfl::rotfl:so now roaring dinosaur back in box and all wrapped!!!

NEWTHRIFT i dont know if you can still get it but i used to use a nose spray (cant remember the name) that you use to avoid getting colds, maybe its worth a try, i used it on a plane journey once when everyone around me was sniffling and coughing and i didnt catch anything!

Oh Free your Dinosaur story did make me giggle! That would be something I would do, however I probably wouldn't have realized until I'd sent off an angry email ;)

Wow this thread is quiet - I thought I'd have pages to catch up on.:D

Well, I'm out of hospital and recovering at home.:j Still on the pain meds but feeling a whole lot better than just a few days ago. It looks like the surgery went well with them removing the whole tumour plus a chunk of bowel either side so it's a waiting game now to see if I need chemo. Keeping everything crossed for a great outcome. Am loving being back in my own bed and eating without the accompanying sounds of people vomitting!

I got the Easter eggs before I went in so just two birthdays this month to sort out. I'm thinking money for one and an Amazon voucher for the other - a bit boring I know but easy for me to do from home.

FREE well done on making the docs appointment and good luck tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you - I know you'll get through it ok and I do so hope they can support you back to better health. Hope DD2 is coping ok.

MURIE, thanks for your support, your PMs have been much appreciated.

PRINCESSKITTY really glad you've sorted out the rental property, it must have been a horribly stressful time but it'll all be worth it when you finally move into your lovely new house.

FEISTY you sound very happy in your post, like all your dreams have finally come true. Hope DH is stable health wise and able to enjoy little Feisty.

Hugs to everyone (gentle ones of course) and huge thanks for the good wishes.

Peppa I am so glad you are home and that the op seems to have gone well. Sending you very gentle and healing hugs!
Sadly DH is not so great and we have to travel 6 hours to Newcastle transplant center next month where he will stay for 5 days whilst they assess him and run tests. They want me there too and so the in laws have very kindly stepped in to drive us up and stay with me in the hotel to help with little feisty. We are still concentrating on all the love and good things we have going on right now :) Thank you so much for asking after him xxx

Aww Free I'm glad you had a successful dr trip, good thinking on getting her to read the notes on your phone. I really hope this change of medication is for the better!

Well our smallest/youngest pup has suffered two fits in the last week. The one yesterday was so severe DH thought she had died as she stopped breathing  the vet suspects epilepsy and she has just started medication. We have been warned a CAT scan may be needed and to prepare for the expense. Looks like I may need to cut my maternity short :( DH is also convinced that something awful will happen when friends are looking after her when we go to Newcastle so a lot of glum faces in the feisty household!
