Mrs Invisible I'm afraid that I can match you in the dust and muck department. My new favourite word is slattern!!! Just in case you are putting your clocks forward for spring, that date is 27th March (but knowing me something else wonderful will be happening tomorrow and I will have misunderstood and missed out!).
Peppa hope all going OK x

Good Afternoon, it's been such a lovely day here today. I abandoned the housework and went outside to put the kids trampoline together. I ended up pressure washing the decking then I pressure washed the front paving, guttering and garage door etc. feels nice knowing the garden is ready for use when better weather comes in. Plus I havnt seen the kids all day as they have been on the trampoline and out on their bikes. Bliss lol
I managed to get a repair kit to cover 4 holes left by cigarette burns from out next door neightbours sons parties :-( the dad said the boy (18) would by a new trampline, but the burns have actually sealed themselves so won't go bigger, I hope. But I put patches over them just incease.

I had a quick read back. Hope everyone is doing ok? X

Evening everyone, today at last i have woken pain free :T:T:T:T thank the lord!!

VULPIX is it still snowy up your way? We got nothing :D thankfully! Yep you have hit it on the nail there, that has been half the trouble, one dr actually said to her 'oh you are too young to be having that sort of pain'
She went to see new consultant today and he thinks it is stemming from her discs again, he is arranging an MRI and x ray but said to her it is pain for life they can only offer her the cortisone/steroid injections, which she has had before and it did last 2 years, and they will check to see if her scoliosis is any worse. We have been here before so many times but you have to have hope!!! He said seen as the resting hasnt worked she can go back to normal, but she is now in agony after picking Thumper up today :(:( They have all been over DD2s today making me a cake for tomorrow :D so i expect that didnt help her either, standing in the kitchen! Yes i hate housework as well but feel so much better for getting it done and out of the way, i just cant settle when there is mess everywhere. I am sure your art is a lot better than you think!

MRSINVISIBLE we cant all be superhuman women, its either inside or outside :D and as the saying goes the housework will still be there tomorrow :D

SALMAGUNDI haha i was just thinking of that word today :rotfl:i thought the clocks were the end of march as well, perhaps MRSI means for a lay in seen as it is mothers day???

NIC oh well done you, i am still burying my head in the sand when it comes to the garden! A lady on another thread has had trouble with young boy neighbours parties and throwing fag ends over the garden fence as well!!! My garden is such a state i wouldnt even notice :o I hope the trampoline does hold!!

We still have plenty of snow but the roads are all clear and open again now.Think we might have a bit more to come.

I am itching to do the garden, well at the moment theres about 6 inches of snow but it makes the piles of rubble look much better. The front garden I stripped out and planted up when we moved here last summer. The back and side garden is on hold. There is a drystone wall all along the boundry which is bulging in several places. The builder wants the wall rebuilding before he does the drive. As the wall supports a road and footpath the council have to be involved. We have been waiting about 6 weeks now for the guy to come out and look at it.There is work in the back the builder can be getting on with when the weather picks up a bit.I cannot wait,I love gardening.

Free i hope medical progress will in time be able to offer your daughter some relief.Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to you,no pain today!!!!!!!!!!!! I have osteo arthritis at the moment worst is my knees,my bloominbig toe has joined in on the act now!!!!!!!!! it could be gout, too much rich living obv.

    Love the word slattern.

Have a nice day tomorrow folks Vx

oops DS2 told me that the clocks altered today and l believed him!!! still it gives me an extra hour to have a leisurely breakfast and get ready for DGNs Christening. (silver lining to that cloud).
Your daughter is having a rough time of it Free, l have a friend who's daughter is in similar situation, she is mid 30s has a youngster and has had4 ops on her spine and is told that now she will only get worse. They offered her a pain management clinic appointment, but although she tried to follow the advice she did not get any benefit from it. Hope that this will not be the case with your DD, fingers crossed.
Happy Mothers day to all you mums, hope nice things happen to all of us, mum, gran, nan, aunty whatever, and non parents too, we laydeez all deserve it. xx

l have not cleaned my house, and it shows, the dust is thick enough to write in, the bins need emptied of yesterdays detritus, the floors are minging, the whole place looks like a padding can, and the windows are so bad l still need the lights on! or perhaps it would help if l cleaned my specs.
However, the garden has had my attention instead, and all the litter, dead leaves, brave weeds and grot have been dealt with, now l may sit and ponder whats next, then make a list ,and get out the timer. Or l may get a phone call inviting me out for the day........well, a girl can dream.
Art class sounds fun, Vulpix, and, after all, who defines talent ? The sun is shining on the washing on the line, and it is blowing just a breeze enough to dry it all, (then, oh, bu@@er it needs ironing, eeeeuch). Have a lovely weekend all, don't forget to alter your clocks for tomorrow.xx

MrsI, don't feel guilty about the cleaning! I only just managed to tackle our bathroom for the first time since just before little Fidget was born (almost 6 weeks ago!) The downstairs cloakroom hasn't been tackled since before she was born and the floors haven't been washed in over a week. Dusting? What's that? ;) You have managed to attempt a lot outside though and I am envious! Our back garden is still a dumping ground from the refurbishment, although the father in-law has kindly indicated he wants to help once the weather has settled. I can't wait to finally have a garden in the summer :D

How annoying about your neighbors son! It may be worth still pressing him to buy a new trampoline as it will teach him to ave some respect for other people's belongings and it's always good to have a back up trampoline!

Fantastic about the pain being gone today free! I really hope your poor daughter gets some relief :(

Hello everyone, sorry for being AWOL but the little fidget is a 24 hour monopoly on my attention and I just don't seem to have enough time in the day to get things done. On the plus side she is letting us sleep for 5 hours over-night AND she is finally tolerating her sling for short stints so Mummy has two hands free to get a bit of cleaning done. In fact we baked our first cake yesterday, she was a perfect angel in the sling whilst I whipped and baked up a lemon sponge with matching frosting :)

I hope everyone is well, hugs to you all! x

Just popping in to say Happy others Day! (especially Feisty as its your first!). I hope everyone has had a wonderful day!

Free-your poor DD, hope she manages to get a little relief soon. Was your cake lovely? Ds made me a red velvet cake which was scrummy. I have had a vertigo attack (Yup Free- stress related) so I was a bit worried that the kids efforts for today for me would be wasted as I haven't been able to get out of bed for a couple of days without the inevitable happening, but today I have been able to get up for the day and replace some of what I have parted company with lol. I have had a lovely day though.

Nic- your neighbours a selfish toad- hope your kids get to use the trampoline properly now you've fixed it.

Mrs I- come and see to my garden please?/ Its a veritable quagmire! Even The Hound side steps the mudslide I call a lawn gingerly.

Vulpix- my li sis has osteo in her back and knees an she is suffering at the moment too. She is on a pre diabetes kick at the mo as she had some border line results recently which she has to reverse before further tests in June so she is on a bit of a health /exercise boost which is playing it up a lot more than usual,

Salmagundi- dust is my nemesis too, despite 5 of us being in this house it seems its only me that knows how to harness the hidden powers of a duster!

    Everyone else- hugs to all

    Take care xx
    lovin' this site!

  • I have finally caught up on all of the posts after a few weeks away from the forum. So far I have finished all birthday and Father's Day presents and cards up to July and have come under budget on all of them. I have got a few animal presents for Christmas in my local pet shops clearance corner, a Christmas cat stocking with toys for 50p, a extra large nylabone for £5.00 (might be for dogs birthday in November) a squeaky Christmas candy cane for 25p and a squeaky Christmas pudding ball for 20p. So that's all the animals Christmas gifts sorted.:T And if anything should happen to the pets, their gifts would Go to a animal shelter. I know some people don't like buying pets Christmas gifts as they think that if they die what would happen to the gifts. But I find it easier and cheaper to get the animal presents in the sales.

I have finished my birthday and Christmas and other occasions spreadsheets so I can keep an eye on prices and budgets and gift ideas throughout the year.

On eb@y last week I bagged some Christmas treat bags for the hampers I am making this year. In my local charity shop last week in a corner I saw a box of cards, on further look they were all hallmark brand new cards a mixture of birthdays and Christmas. So I got a load of them, they were priced 25p - 70p .:j
