Doesn't the weekend disappear fast! I blinked and it was over.
We had a good few inches of snow since yesterday morning. So I have hardly seen the kids. They have been out sledging and building a snowman family.
I did make a trip to the shopping mall before the snow hit. I had a clear out and sold a few things, so I treated myself to 2 skirts in Primark and to getting my eyebrows threaded, it's the simple things eh? Lol
has anyone booked their Sun holiday yet? The priority code link opened this morning. I had. Look but just can't decide where to go. We have did them for the last 6 years. We fancied Butlins Skegness again, but the 7 hr drive puts us off. It's a pleasant enough drive, but with 3 squabbling kids in the back it puts us off. Plus my 7 seater is the best car to take, but it's already at 124,000 miles on the clock, so don't want to add that many more. I really look forward to our Sun break.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Nic- yes the weekends seem to be over in a nano second!
Free- hope you feeling better? How did DD get on with her dental work?
MrsI- if you've got it- flaunt it! Don't just wear your gillet indoors- wear your clothes don't let them wear you (as my DD tells me when I am having a crisis of confidence!)
Princesskitty- that is a good bargain on the coat, bet you feel smug as well as snug in it knowing it was such an MSE buy x
I have bought a few more bits and pieces to put in the various advent calendars - I ordered some Christmas jumpers from The Range in the sale £3.75. Brilliant I thought- til they arrived this morning, I ordered XL and they are no more than a size 14! (and that's at a push!). So they are going back. Im disappointed cus I thought they would do for Mom and DSis. Back to the drawing board.
Have made a giant carrot cake today for Moms birthday tomorrow- healthy eating is going out of the window when we tuck into that!
Hope everyone is well xlovin' this site!

:j Hey everyone, so sorry I have not been on the board. There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day. I am trying to keep up with you all.... failing miserably lol
Vulpix- your kitchen looks amazing and I bet you can not wait until it is finished.
Free- Glad to see you back on the boards although not nice to hear you are unwell. So sorry you are having a bad run, aloe vera is wonderful! My husband swears by the liquid version to treat his Ulcerative colitis when it is in mild flare.
Fiesty- I can understand that you are feeling concerned about what the consultant said but you are a fantastic mum already! You know your body and you know your baby. If anything changes or you do not feel right you go straight to the hospital! that is what they are there for. They would rather check 1000 times that you are fine!
nic2075- Me and the kids love love love butlins skegness! We have been a couple of times and they loved it x
murie-I saw the jumpers online at the range and was tempted to order but glad I didnt now x Will keep my eye out x
my mind has gone blank now!
I have purchased some converse small bags for kids birthdays this year. That is the older nieces and nephews sorted. Just got 3 under 3 to buy for and 2 teenagers.
Ordered a perfume set for my sisters 16th birthday from boots in the half price sale and im debating ordering a few gifts for mothers day and fathers day gifts lol is that too far? It would cost me £28 instead of £520 -
lovin' this site!

Hello All
Is the place I need to be to prepare for this years Christmas?
I am determined to start early this year, every year I mean to get so much done and never have enough time, I have plans (as every year) to make a lot of items but leave it so late I stress out about it so nothing gets made and I end up buying everything last minute rather than handmade
I haven't read the whole thread (16 pages and only the middle of January - I am impressed). I did skim that a lot have already brought some bits and pieces, well done all of you I can feel the inspiration and motivation already. I did buy one thing in the sale a lovely set of little advent houses numbered 1 - 25 for £6 in the Range.
The first thing I plan to make are some Christmas gift tags (sewn), I can't start yet as need to buy materials when I go into town next.
Looking forward to joining in the chat.0 -
 Hello iammumtoone and welcome to the thread.
:bdaycake: Happy birthday to Newthrift & Betsie2010 :bdaycake: Hope that you had a lovely day!
Not much to report on the Christmas front - just trying to organise my summer holidays!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

I always think of Summer holidays after Christmas - I think the lure of sun makes up for the cold and the rain. Plus I love having things to plan and organise! I love a list.0
