Free - can you have a look on Gumtree etc for a single bed? Then you can just buy a new mattress. If you do want new, I noticed Debenhams blue cross sale has something like 40% off beds (could be more than that, I can't remember now). Also I think Argos are pretty good for beds, you can get a single bed for a reasonable price.
All this talk of bathrooms being done, I want to get mine done this year too. I will probably look at getting our ensuite done this year because its smaller so wont be as expensive as getting the main bathroom done. I've seen some great deals on bathroom suites, get all excited, then realise the price doesn't include any of the fittings etc so once all that is added on the price doesn't look quite as good as I thought :rotfl:.
I gave in and bought a few things from the Boots sale. Only some perfume sets which I will keep for my daughters birthdays later in the year. The Debenhams sale has some good deals on it, I haven't bought anything but I did have a look last night and was surprised at some of the reductions.0 -
Popped into wilkos to get dd3 some hair clips she keeps nagging me for lol and noticed they had reduced all their xmas bits and some toys down to 75% off so grabbed lots of games and a few frozen bits oh and a crayola glow book etc oh and a box of their red and white baubles i've been eyeing up for this year lol £106 worth for £26. so 2 days fab bargains. nearly bought a new xmas tree but i know i've seen nicer ones out there and we don't really NEED it so i didn't pick one up.
kicking myself i didn't walk up to boots to see if they had any of their drink sets left.. i doubt they did but blah lol had a brainwave over night for an adult gift.
Came home from my power walk with 5 bags of shopping oops, put dinner on, swept the downstair floors and put some more washing on(thats never ending isn't it lol) having breakfast now.
hope you're feeling better soon free.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Evening everyone, im not going to moan about my health for about the 5th day in a row :rotfl:so i shall say nothing!
MONEYMISSION ah thankyou i never thought of that, i am a bit of a snob with second hand things i am ashamed to say, ive had two disastrous times, first our neighbours years ago offered us a brand new double bed and mattress said they had only had it a week but because of his health reasons it wasnt any good, so they brought it round and omg it stank of smoke sooooooo bad the whole house reeked, so i ended up giving it to my SIL who didnt care a jot, then same neighbours were giving away a double oven and hob so we said yes and omg it was hideous it was so dirty and disgusting i nearly puked :rotfl:
But actually you are right single beds are really not that expensive and it would make so much sense in a room the size of mine so that is the way forward!
MSGIGGLEWICK thankyou, another day of fab bargains for youtell me about the washing i just cant seem to get to the bottom of the basket these days!

Mrs Gigglewick- sounds like you got some real bargains! Why is it that shopping never looks so much until you have to pack it up at the til?!
Free- hope you get your bed situation sorted soon. You're not moaning about your health woman- we are here for ya!

Aw you lot say the nicest of things! Truly the staff on the ward I am on are lovely. To be able to give back is the least I can do. I still haven't had the mri with contrast which is what I need to determin if and what surgery I may have on Friday.
Free I will have to remember that tip!
Murie I hope your tea was a nice one!
Fiesty The baking looks good , how was the bread?
Hugs and love to everyone
Adding more to my blog and then will post the link so I can stop clogging the thread up with my hospital updates! I have slept most the day away so will probably be watching films tonight.:o
Hey you, it's never clogging up the thread with your medical updates, we all worry about you!
The bread was lovely thank you, even better the next day with left over stew and dumplings! Also toasted great!mrsinvisible wrote: »Note to self: you do not need anything in the b@@ts70% off sale this morning. The house is full of christmas presents already. You dont need anything for yourself either, as DD keeps you supplied with freebies from her Av*n stash. Do not go to the b**ts sale!!
do you think l will be able to resist? No, l dont either.
Vulpix kitchen nightmares l still have them, just close your eyes to the mess and order take away! Seriously tho, l feel for you, it will get better but it is the waiting that gets you down
Free poor DD hope she is better soon.
Well if l dont go to the sale this morning l will reward myself with a strawberry punnet when l am in the supermarket. Now, can l get back to sleep? No, may as well get up then and make a list forcthe sale......... no, no, no!!!
Oh MrsI did you cave in? I looked at the website and as usual it kept crashing every time I added something to my basket  I could understand if it was the sale day launch, but it was today! I also wish they wouldn't display things that are out of stock as it just takes ages scrolling past them all to get to what is actually available! I've given up now :rotfl:MoneyMission2015 wrote: »Free - can you have a look on Gumtree etc for a single bed? Then you can just buy a new mattress. Thank you for the heads up about the Debenhams sale! I have managed to buy a birthday gift for one of my more awkward people for only £7.50 (reduced from £25) so chuffed! I also got a mini gift for DH as it was reduced and we will do click and collect so it is free and we can stop off at one of our favourite restaurants for lunch for the last time pre-baby!
Thank you to all asking about pregnancy. Had a slight wobble at our last consultant appointment at 38 weeks on Monday. Baby has gained weight to 5lbs 14oz but our consultant doesn't want to induce before our due date as she is worried it will fail and I will need an emergency c-section. The consultant plans to see me for an internal on the actual due date and then decide a plan of action. We've been told all along the pregnancy that they don't like IVF babies to go over full term and when I checked it would be okay to wait until the actual due date, the consultant said she had forgotten it was IVF and that they don't like IVF babies going over as there is a greater risk of stillbirth with them  She still doesn't want to see me until my due date (25th January) so I am now anxious about it all really[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

10 days feisty - but you know what if you feel something is up or baby kick counts slow down then they won't turn you away with any concerns... the best place for baby is where baby is right now. i fully know those 10 days will be feeling like 10 years for you right now. Try and relax. ITs good they expect you to go full term... but please don't feel scared to contact your midwife or even the dr's again if it really is playing on your mind. xxxx take care of yourself too. lots of lovely relaxing baths and slushy moviesTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Feisty- I echo what mrsgigglewick says. Any queries or concerns then contact your midwife.
I know it sounds trite but try to relax and not stress either yourself or Junior too much, make the most of the quiet (and get as much sleep in as you can lol) cus it wont be like that when your beautiful baby enters the world!
I know its scary when those in the know (consultants) seem to lose the thread with your pregnancy notes, but I'm sure she wouldn't let you go to term if it was a concern xx Take care xlovin' this site!

Feisty honey please try not to worry, I know it's not easy. My neighbour's sons partner had their I've baby on 23rd Dec, her due date was 21st she went in that day to be induced and babe arrived early hours of 23rd.
As Murie and msgigglewick have said keep a check on your kicks and how you and babe feel and if you have any concerns at all contact your midwife team or the hospital. Hugs to you, just think in 10 days that beautiful little bundle will be in your arms. XSPC~12 ot 124

Hello and welcome pickleinapouch and Firemunchkin!
mrsinvisible I too have issue with Tesco, we get home delivery and they have now changed it to £40 minimum spend instead of £25, that's quite a jump!
vulpix wow what a lovely space you have now! It's such a great idea to do these things as it really opens things out and gives you great living space. That's rubbish that they can't re-fit the kitchen though, how frustrating for you. It's always difficult when your living space is in disarray, keep thinking about the end result, it will be worth it in the end!
Firemunchkin good for you for taking a leap of faith and studying, I am sure it will be worth it in the long run. Your present ideas sound wonderful and I can't imagine anyone not liking them! I'm intrigued by the corkboard, I can't imagine it? You shall have to post a pic when you're done!
JJ it is lovely to hear that you have made some friends, it must be so nice to have some people to talk to on your ward, i'm sure it makes all the difference.
fiesty oh your poor thing, it's understandable that you're worried. As others have said if you're concerned about anything speak to your midwife or doctor, and I am sure they wouldn't let you go full term if they had concerns about it. The days leading up to the end of a pregnancy feel like forever but your little baby will be with you soon enough don't you worry. x
freespirit oh your poor family, when things happen one after the other it really is a stress. The problem is that it really is that time of year, germs are rampant! I know so many people with various ailments, Wiggle and I have just picked up another cold! I do hope they all feel better soon. I'm glad you made your DD go home and rest, it sounds like just what she needed. I know how she feels though, I always feel guilty leaving Wiggle with the Grandparents, but I know they like it. We don't get to do it very often as we don't live near any of them. I wish I could do it today as my head is all bunged up and sore! How horrible for your DD having a leak, and in Thumper's room too. I do hope they can get it sorted, these things are always so flippin' expensive!0
