Popped into M&S and saw some Christmas Cushions reduced from £12.00 to £6.00. I saw them at the beginning of December but wasn't going to pay £12.00. The cushion inserts are good quality too, so have put them by for this year.
Popped into tesco This morning and they had their Christmas crackers reduced to £1.50 for the luxury ones, so got a couple boxes. Table this year will be blue and silver. Also they had luxury gift tags for 10p, two of the packs at the checkout came to 5p:j I also got some Christmas design organza bags to out jewellery gifts in they were reduced to 20p for a pack of 3. At that price I got 3 packs.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -

no swimming today - i forgot they are doing aquafit the time i can make it today and i can't swim at the speed i want too with them all making waves lol shall go tomorrow instead. So the housework is getting a done a bit lol
I shouldn't have but just popped onto the lakeland sale and made an order oops ... must be good for the next few days or they will be taking bread and water for pack lunch next monday and tuesday lol.
dd3 is still a bit achy but getting there. ty again for thinking of her.
I'm not sure if it's the desire to nest or the fact that I hadn't done any proper cleaning since moving in (almost 6 weeks ago!) but man did I feel great when I finally had the bathroom and downstairs loo cleaned! It did take it out of me a bit though and my elephant legs swelled to painful proportionsI also only managed 4 and a half hours sleep before becoming wide awake this morning. We have friends coming round for dinner tonight at 7.30 so I think a nap may be in order at some point today
In an effort to cut down on waste I also managed to whip up a batch of nutella and almond swirls in the breadmaker. I had left over nutella that had been open a while and although it was in date and there was no use within x amount of opening, I knew it would just get wasted. It was a hybrid recipe that I kind of invented but it turned out well and I will definitely be blogging about it! We now have 6 of the beasts in the freezer ready for nice breakfasts once the baby is hereI also rustled up a lentil ragu and used up some of the ropy looking veg in the fridge - a big enough portion to freeze too! Feeling very smug with myself

Hello there!
Back at work Monday, off TuesdayThink I picked up norovirus somehow, been in this job nearly 9 years and that was only the second day I had off ill. Still not feeling great, but so much better than I was Tuesday. On the plus side, think I lost about 7lbs!
Have started for this Christmas, would it be wrong to wrap as soon as I have things? That is one job which I hate, so was thinking about wrapping as I get things. Think I will limit to 2 gifts each this year, so will have to be giving some thought as to what to get, and ideally no odd shapes! Will do clothes for the teenagers as main and something small. They all loved the personalised slate coasters they got, so will possibly do something along that line.
Will be doing a blitz in spare room this weekend, now that I can see it, so plan on putting things I already have for Egypt in a case rather than the various bags they are in, sorting out what I have left over from last Christmas and planning what to do with that and generally having a good clear out.
One of my friends had her very own nephew born on NYE, she has one sister. He is a honeymoon baby and wasn't due until 3rd week in Jan, but mum had a rough pregnancy, she had been in hospital since beginning of November and the consultant said there was no choice now, especially as she is an older first time mum, and had to do the C section on NYE. Quite ironic, she was was a mum within months of getting married and her sister had to wait 11 years!
Not having any joy at finding Christmas crackers, so if anyone knows who has the expensive ones going cheap, that would be good. I paid about £8 for a £30 M&S box last time, having almost had heart failure at seeing the original cost still on the box, the rellies thought they were very good value because of the quality of the gifts inside.
My poor mum has senior moment after Christmas, was sorting out my brother's birthday for me to take back and gave it to me. I looked at it very blankly as the envelope was a tad pink! Had a look at the table to see his card still in the wrapper so I opened the one she had signed - don't think he would appreciate "Happy 30th birthday to the birthday girl"! Silly woman forgot there were 3 cards in the bag, 2 for my cousin and 1 for brother, so when she took out 1 of the girlie cards, assumed the next was his. At least he saw the humour in it!
It is the bosses birthday in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to get the man who has everything and if he hasn't got it, buys it, any suggestions? I know he would be quite happy with a homemade chocolate cake, but the surgery which he has had to put off will be done in February, so won't want to put on any weight beforehand.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Afternoon everyone, first of all HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my lovely virtual friends on here, thankyou for the lovely comments in your posts and to the lovely PMs, i am fine now, i think this blip has been on the horizon for a while now, remember how the beginning of Dec i was so organised but so teary, by the time i got the diagnosis i (as Murie says) was running on fumes, nothing left in me so it hit me harder than it usually would, and i was worried i would have to go on ADs again feeling so low, so i gave myself a few days of tlc to get my head together nothing more than reading, watching tv, reading mags and then bang fell ill
i had a pounding headache which led to migraine, then ibs pain, nausea, violent shivering , fever i was so ill DS rang DD2 to say i couldnt look after thumper, which made me feel so guilty for putting more on her already full plate
i finally started to feel more human after a couple of days, then had to go through having someone round to service the boiler and gas appliances :eek: but i took diazepam the day before and on the day, i was fine, i wont say i was looking forward to it but i had no anxiety symptoms i just felt like a calm, normal person (for once) They have also given me two really good long stretches of sleep so today i feel better than i have in a long time. I have started my savings pot for the 1p 2p etc a day plan, and have sorted my budgets for next christmas and birthdays (again cutting down) I have 3 bags for the CS when it reopens inc christmas ornaments. I only put 2lb on from the 1st of Dec til 5th Jan so well chuffed usually i put on 7-10lb minimum, although i am eating the homemade mince pies and thick brandy cream atm so i dont have to chuck the cream  I still have this horrible feeling it isnt going to be a particularly good year
poor DD2 went to see a physio about her back problems and has been told she is not to do any housework or pick uphold thumper under any circumstances for the time being otherwise she will not have a choice of whether she can or not she wont be able to permanently, another problem made worse by childbirth/pregnancy and thumper fell at nursery and had a big bruise/lump on his head thank god missing where his strawberry birthmark is
JJ oh my lovely so sorry to hear you have been in hospital so long again and more ops, i hope you are comfortable and pain free atm, and i hope your different (but lovely) Christmas with your mum still went ahead! We are as always cheering you on from the sidelines xx

Free- its good to 'see' you posting again! Tlc sounds exactly what you needed to get you through the last week or so, good on you for recognising that you needed it-that's a big part of the battle x
Your poor DD- not quite sure what to say about her, it must be an awful predicament for her (and for you). Hope Thumpers bump has gone down a bit x Brilliant news about your weighloss/gain!
Yes my 'little' furry baby is all healed now, it seems to have been forever since I took her over the park, this morning was our first time in nearly 2 weeks. She loved it but I wasn't too keen on the ice.
It made me smile to see you had called her little- she is 28" to the shoulder and weighs 4 stone! Im 5' 2" and she her head comes above my waist!
Ive been getting a few bits in the sales for this Christmas (!), Christmas duvet sets for advent calendar pressies from asda and robin pjs from Tesco. I brought a new tree from Amazon which is coming tomorrow as a lot of the branches came apart when I took mine down! Wish I had seen it before I struggled to get my old one back in the loft earlier in the week!lovin' this site!

Well today we went to get DS test results, consultant has not got a clue, well his official diagnosis was "I'm baffled if I know", blood tests fine, nerve tests fine. So he is now being referred back to a neurologist, how long this will take I will never know. So basically we are back to he beginning although I am seriously giving up.
Plan this weekend is to stay in my PJs and do absolutely nothing although I might find a notebook and write out all the things I should be doing and allocate times next week. Feel exhausted and done nothing, guess it's mentally draining and catching up with me.
Need something positive for DS and me to focus on.0
