0462 I'm with FREE and the others, no job is worth being unhappy over. I worked for one company for 21 years, the first 15 or so we're lovely, the last five horrible really. The relief when I finally left was fabulous! Can't wait to see what next month's challenge is! I got an email when the bath bomb kits were ready - be prepared they're much bigger than you expect!

Thank you everyone for your support, it really does make such a difference. Going out for a bit if Chrustmas shopping with DD1 today so looking forward to that. All local too so won't be overdoing it.

MURIE get your finger out girlie, big reveal tomorrow! I might even beat you there this month.

Thanks for the updated Christmas list CLUMSY. Was nice to see B&M have their Christmas stuff out but nothing festive in Home Bargains yesterday. I'm hoping Primarni have started their extended returns but think it might be October, will find out today.

Slight hold up with my snow challenge - can't get the glue sticks in the glue gun ☹️ Hopefully I've just forgotten how to do it and DH will know when he's up and about. Once that's done I'll be finished pretty quickly so still on schedule for the reveal tomorrow.

Hello Lovely Christmas People,i haven,t read back too far but what I have seems eventful.Happy Birthday,Hope you feel better soon where appropriate. xxxx

The Halloween jars are so cute. The little party will be lovely for them.

I quite agree if your job is not enjoyable it sours everything else.If you don't have to go then pack it in.XXXx

I have to confess I haven't even started my snow craft. It will take all of 5 minutes when I actually start.Maybe later.

We still have the tiler in situ,he has now started to sort the leak in the bathroom. The decorator has finished our bedroom but we are waiting for the carpet people so are still camping in DD2's room with furniture stashed everywhere. We have been going out everyday as the decorator would talk if we were in.He has done a nice job but I won't have him again,I found him a bit creepy.

Well today we just HAVE to go to town (25 miles away) I am having B &M, Home Bargains,Poundland,The Range withdrawal.I tried my local Holland and Barrat for the bath bomb kit. They could order it for £1.50,don't need it really so passed.

I am slowly doing bits in the garden when the weather allows,it may be finished by the end of the year.My friend has knocked down a house in the village and is having a new house built.I have been and collected several hundred bricks for a retaining wall at the side of the drive.Exited as reclaimed bricks are 50p each.Very MSE.I have got to clean them all though.More to collect also,I need about 500.

My son in Canada is shortlisted for a real job as opposed to a studenty type job.Fingers crossed. It would mean they could do more travelling and get their car fixed. They are loving it there, and who can blame them,it is stunning and a fab way of life.I always intended to return after I had been a nanny there but life got in the way.The only downside would be if they had children out there,I would want to be part of their lives.

Oh crikey.Mr V finishes work in 6 minutes and I am not dressed! He will be expecting me to be stood on the door step in my hat n coat! Road Trip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Laters x

  • Thanks for all the good wishes for the house move.

Well, we exchanged yesterday and are moving in on the 18th October. I suppose we better get packing. Would like to get van trips to new place down to only a few as it's 50 minutes away from our current place and due to smaller size of house, am trying to take the minimum of stuff. Nice to make it official though.

04624181 - Sorry to hear about the job, I find you can usually tell straightaway if a job is right for you. Many people stick with jobs that totally stress them out, I suppose it depends on circumstances and neccessity. Maybe look for something else in the mean time?

Clumsy - Thanks for update on live Christmas shops :)

NewThrift - Hope you have a nice break, sounds like it will be lovely.

Princess - Love the mummy jars!

Peppa - I have a glue gun. I suppose it depends on the make but my glue sticks suggest 'Load a glue stick through the grip ring at the rear of the Bostik glue gun'. Not sure if that helps.

Hope you've found what I just have in the Range - their Christmas stuff is just being put out now so went and got a dose of sparkles and glitter. I try and get a new tree dec each year but didn't see anything that caught my eye and goes with my colour scheme so may just have to go back again for a second visit in case they didn't have everything out... :rotfl:
  • Hi all, Thank you everyone for the advice and well wishes. Im going to give it another go next week and if I still feel the same then I will give my notice.
    :rotfl:
SNOW ALERT ****** lol tomorrow is the day for our unveiling of our wonderful creations :T

Am I done? Not yet, finding it hard to get hold of some wool!!! Will nip out later to try and get some. Everything else is ready to go.

Forgot to mention I picked up the cosmetic calender from wilkos for myself and dd.
    http://www.wilko.com/kiss-gift-collection/kiss-cosmetic-calendar/invt/0438033
They look lovely and DD will be over the moon that we have got matching calenders and it has make up in. Obviously she will not be able to use it all but she will love opening it! I may even replace some of the inappropriate make up pieces by cutting the back of the box. mmmm will get my thinking cap on.
  • Hi 04624181,

Yes, I got an email when my Holland and Barrett was ready to pick up. The jar is huge but I opened it and went through it - the two moulds are very small so I think it will only make two small bath bombs. That's still ok for me and I still think it's ok value for money but that might not be ok for everyone.

Good luck with your job, a bad job really sucks the life out of you if it goes on too long.

And sorry for posting my snow craft early, I didn't realise it should have been on the last day of the month, I'll stick to the rules next time :)

  • Good to see that we are firing on all cylinders for Christmas now, think we will probably find it more difficult to keep up with thread now.

Feeling very uncomfortable at moment, supposed to be going to a funeral tomorrow, don't think I will as I will be wriggling quite a bit and I know it will be a big funeral so there won't be much space on the seat:D:D She would have been 41 last week, so very young & very sad, but at least she is not in pain any more.

046: sorry job is not going as you like

Clumsy: thx for the websites updating:

    New: enjoy break

Free: did I read pages back that DD was in Jordan? It is an amazing place.

Really must make notes about everyone's posting so I can reply properly so for those I have forgotten, :D

Hope your feeling a bit better

Well done on the crafts, I haven't got an artistic bone in my body!

Off to to a bit of tidying up now:rotfl:
A smile costs little but creates much :)
