MURIE the cake sounds delicious. I'm often surprised by what I find in the cupboards and they usually look a lot emptier when I chuck out all the out of date stuff! Hope you find your Buzz Lightyear. To infinity and beyond....
VULPIX you've been busy! Those stones/slabs look very heavy. Liking the stamp votives and well done on the jingle bell challenge. I'm still trying to get mine finished and I'm a bit worried my bells won't arrive in time because of the Bank Holiday but fingers crossed.mits taken me about three days to decide on what wording to write on it. I love the Father Christmas in your picture.
TREASUREQUEEN you're having lots of ideas for pressies. How did your grandparents' party go? Do you have any pics of your wine glass charms?
Had a lovely relaxing day sitting in my sister's back garden listening to our village/town brass band playing on the Green. Fingers crossed that I finally get my next chemo tomorrow. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone, it was quiet yesterday on here, i didnt get on as had the mother of all migraines and went to bed at 6pm and didnt wake until 5am then took more painkillers and slept til 10am. Its still there a bit now!
MURIE oh i hope you find a Buzz Lightyear, i remember when it first came out i couldnt get a buzz or woody anywhere, in the end i managed to find a Buzz about 30 miles away and someone i knew was going out to america so i asked them and they managed to get Woody, so happy little boy that christmas! I love lemon and ginger cakes, i bet your topper looks fab!
PRINCESSKITTY ooh fingers crossed for the end of September then! I bet you cannot wait i want to see lots of piccies of your interior when you decorate
SPENDLESS congratulations to DS on his exam results
TREASUREQUEEN i hope your grandparents 50th anniversary party went well and they enjoyed it, and liked your hamper
VULPIX i love your jingle craft and i love love santa in the picture, the stamps votives are really lovely i have never seen that before. Wow you have a lot of hard work and heavy lifting there by the look of it!

Vulpix - you truly are wonder woman if you clear rubble like that! Please be careful and don't hurt yourself! How is Mr V now- less broken? Those votives are unusual, I imagine they look really pretty lit up in the dark, Your cushion looks fab- and another vote from me for the father Christmas print.
Free- hopefully by today your head will be better. I had a niggly headache all day yesterday so I ended up going to bed at 7.30 to try and shift it. I remember that kind of frantic search for a Tracy Island when DS was small- not one to be found for love nor money! I also remember queuing outside Toys R Us for Power Rangers in the freezing cold for about an hour before they opened! The lengths we moms go to!
Peppa-Sounds like an idyllic afternoon. I'm not going to say anything but you know what I'm thinking about today......xxx
DD and her BF are off to Brighton for a few days so she can practice her interior design talents on his student house for this year- that is his intention but I don't know when she is going to fit it in as she has a full schedule planned that involves lots of afternoon teas, beach walks and The Lanes mooching!! At least it will be quieter here lol!!lovin' this site!

Haha, who needs a gym when you can chuck rocks about! Mr V is about fixed bless him but that is about to change.I have bought a load of stone slabs off eeeeebay and he is going to collect them for me.Also bless him more,he has worked every day in August so I can hire a decorator to do the bedrooms/hall/stairs/landing/porch and downstairs loo.I have done the kitchen and sittingroom and it is difficult for me now up ladders.
I think we will go shopping today as DD2 is back from her travels and will soon be back at school.I saw some plants and planters when we were out last week which I will get if they are still there. I did get a sweets pizza from aldeee fora stocking filler for DD2.All women folk more or less done for Christmas.Just those pesky men now!
PS.the cushion is not really that colour,DD1 had to tweak the colour to get it to photo well.
Family round yesterday for tea.I did a gammon joint in the slow cooker in coke. They woofed it.
It is quiet here, hope everyone is ok.

Ooh VULPIX, the gammon sounds lovely. I used to do mine in cider or in fresh orange juice but I bet coke is really tasty. I'm going to order a gammon joint next week and try it.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Vulpix I love your jingle bell cushion, I have just about finished mine just got to find some Christmas ribbon to go on it.
Thanks to everyone that has asked about the 50th anniversary party, the hamper went down well apart from the fact that they were fighting over the sweets and Florentines like a couple of big kids. :rotfl:
As for the party it was a success but I am very tired now 2 days on, my ME has decided to flare up but at least its happening after the party and not before. A few people had dodgy tummies probably the prawn sandwiches fault but I am ok. There was so much food left over and I was thinking what is going to happen to it all, I don't like waste. But we shared it out between us and my great aunt took some home for the foxes.
Peppa that's great that you can now have the chemo :j£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
