murie - There's a Buzz lightyear here on budget and free p & p, first search I did. Don't know if this is suitable?

BBB- Also look at the gits that come with magazines. It's only a couple of months back, I got some benefit brow gel and I think the mag was £2. You could also buy the cards of earrings somewhere like Primark and cut them down. There's also trolley tokens that cost £1 and I'm sure I once picked up in Lush this small cream by the tills in a little tin that I *think* cost £1.
My DS also picked up his GCSE results on Thursday. He is capable but doesn't put much effort in! So I was very pleased that he got 1A, 3 B, 2 C, 1 D to go with the B and C he got last year. We had applied to two colleges, because if he hadn't got the right grades to get on his preferred course, we were going to see which place offered the most favourable alternative. Anyway he met the conditional offer set so has chosen to go to the nearest place and will be studying IT from September.
In Home Bargains the other day, there were Thorntons Gruffalo for £1.49. This does have a BB date of November 16. It will be ok to eat after this but you might want to be careful who it's given to as a present and keep it for household members only. Though if people are anything like my kids though they are obsessed with 'out of date' things. I swear they must get up and stand by the fridge at midnight ready to complain! Chocolate seems exempt from their level of scrutiny. There were also bars of Thorntons chocolate (toffee and fudge) for 39p and 49p but the BB date is Oct so my suggestion is same as above.
I haven't done too bad for school uniform this year. Reducing down to one child to buy for seems to have made a huge difference, even with DS needing new clothes for college. I've rolled over what I could from last year and just bought to 'top up' levels. I got 3 white shirts in bhs which cost £1.60 each. Having to get ladies trousers for DD instead of school range reduced the amount spent there and I bought the school jumpers from the shop that copies themssshhhh. You can only buy them officially from school and the material is a lot thicker and DD hates them for that reason, so I go for the cheaper thinner copy.

Spendless- thanks for the link x. I have seen that one on my search but I really wanted the original one from 2005 as that is when he had the other toy 'Woody'- probably underestimating how difficult it will be lol. (He will be 21 in January!). Well done to DS and everyone else who has had results this week and congrats that he got into his first choice college. You made me chuckle at the thought of your kids standing beside the fridge waiting for midnight to strike!!
I have been very naughty and just might have bought DD a Dalmation Kate Spade coin purse in the sale - £88 down to £44 but used a 10%code so £39.60 (its how I justify it to myself!). They are very expensive but oh so beautiful and collectors pieces really.
princesskitty- ooh its getting closer- exciting times ahead!lovin' this site!

This is going to be the second time I write this up, the computer crashed and I lost my first post on here:mad:
Advent calendar ideas: how about the body shop free face masks with the voucher that's online. I think its for 3, so you could put one in each separate days. nail polish, nail remover pads, lipgloss or lipbalm, trolley key ring there are some nice charity ones around too. a few scented tealights, jewellery cleaning cloth, stud earrings. I will think of some more things later.
I have got a party today the anniversary one for my grandparents, the wine charms are all done and on the champagne flutes. I will try and upload a photo on here for tomorrow.
I found a great website for possible stocking ideas: http://www.everythingmom.com/nesting/stocking-stuffers-for-everyone£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -

Men's stocking ideas: my dad is always moaning when he gets petrol, his hands get dirty. I found these wipes that I have got to go in his stocking. they are called grime boss and are £1.99 in home base, seen them on Amazon too for £3.00 they remove oil, grease, paint, diesel, PU foam, adhesives and everyday gunk and grime.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480

Treasure Queen- those wipes are a good idea!
Peppa and Pinksteps- yup its seriously quiet isn't it? Must be everyone our getting Christmas bargains or getting on with their jingle bells craft lol!
I have spent the morning baking a lemon and ginger cake for our anniversary next week. Its only a 6" but I want something to mark it (not having a party or anything just a meal out). I have decluttered my baking cupboard and Oh My- there are things in there from the Ark! I was looking for some edible pearls and ended up throwing half the cupboard away- found the edible pearls in the end though. Spent the rest of the morning making a 30th topper but the number 3 hasn't worked as well as I like- its a bit (lot!) wonky. Im going to use it though as I have run out of flower paste. Have frozen the cake and will decorate it at the weekend.
I also used the code off the threads and ordered a dressing gown for Mom for £6 delivered from Bon Marche, so that's a bit more for the Christmas stash!
Hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Holiday!lovin' this site!
