No explanation was given whatsoever.
Airline refused to refund $13,000
The UK government now gets involved with this.

Quite a reasonable explanation here as to why they were refused.

We clearly use different dictionaries as that seems neither reasonable (incredibly weak reasoning) nor an explanation (it's theory) to me!0 -

People are refused entry into the US for all sorts of reasons.
If it wasn't a Muslim family it would not have made the news.0 -

I was nearly refused entry as the fingerprint scanners refused to pick up my fingerprints, no joke. something that small.
Luckily just as they were going to take me out of the queue the machine registered the last try.
I was then allowed in.
So it can be a small thing like that... or then again a larger issue of the family in question having a Facebook account registered at the address which was potentially linked to a terrorist group. Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

I think you'll find many people care. It may please you and the huge population of bigots in this country (note you weren't placed in the bigot category in that sentence before throwing a hissy fit), but I'd much rather live in a tolerant country than the toxic cesspit Britain's becoming.
Perhaps an unfair assessment though, it seems like it's probably always been this way and people are just more confident to display it now.0 -
can you honestly say we would have seen the headline if it were a "British Christian family" or ""British Sikh Family" or "British Jewish family".
If it were any other religion other than Muslim nobody would know about it or care.
Surprisingly hardly any press about the UK refusing entry to a USA citizen http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/stockport-womans-heartbreak-american-fiance-106289160 -
We'll have to wait until we discover if this family are truly innocent. But if you can understand our and the US's security forces are stretched to the limit with so many terrorist cells springing up all over the place all intent on blowing up me and you and as it's now Xmas the most important Christian season which makes it a good time for martyrs to commit suicide, you may take a bit of time to think perhaps this wasn't an over-reaction. SIS and SS in the UK reckon there's a potential 2,000 cells and to surveillance them all is nigh-on impossible. If I had a choice on how I would die it certainly wouldn't be by having my arms and legs blown off by a terrorist who believes he'll get 72 dark-eyed virgins in Paradise.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
