To be a real MSE skinflint, i've found an old Nokia 6100 in a draw , and ordered a charger for £1.20 from Amazon since the original is lost in the mists of time. and found a baby-monitor power adaptor that charges it. Hurray for 14 year old mobile phones!



Also, The Range are a bunch of lying snotbags; they've got a wall of dirt cheap reconditioned phone 'boxes' - but when you go to ask what they've got in stock, it turns out all they've got is a single rubbish Android phone. </Grumble>

old Nokias...yum, got a few myself but the battery life does not last a day

Well, the phone has been on since 6.45 and has only dropped 2 bars of battery (out of 8). Rock on little Nokia 6100. The alarm even works when the phone is off. How I've missed that.

In other news, they've now decide to give me £100 after I told them I wasn't happy I've lost the use of my mobile and had to pay my contract at the same time.

I realise they are only going to compensate me when I can demonstrate loss. I do miss Facebook/Google Now on my phone, but love this tiny little Nokia quite a bit.

Well £100 aint bad. My main phone is a Nokia, my internet phone is a 6" beast...love my wee Nokia

The phone is back! I think they've got lazy, and given me a brand new phone handset rather than just replace the motherboard - my screen protector has vanished and so have a bunch of scratches on the plastic edges.

So i'm up a new handset, and down a £7 decent screen protector. At least it was the right phone model this time!

edit: Apparently they replaced the mainboard and the LCD .. so it's a bit like Triggers Broom
