Admiration for how well you are staying on the protocol you set for yourself! Great job!!!!

Thank you! I must admit I'm quite enjoying working towards the smaller targets - they seem far more achievable than the big overall one, but at the same time are working towards the main one.

Well, had a nice start to today and found out I'd won a £30 Amazon voucher. I'll use this towards part of little ones Christmas pressie that I'd been looking to spend my clubcard vouchers on which will free the vouchers up for some other birthday/Christmas goodies.

Had another £3 bid last night so now up to £11/£21 for my weekly target. Still got piles of stuff to list, none of it big items, mainly clothing but if I can keep chipping away at it it's going to be a huge help.

Will fire the slow cookers up when I get back from the yard and get the chilli and bolagnase done.

    Have a good day x

    Morning!
Don't want to tempt fate but it seems the little man is on the mend. He hasn't been sick since 4:30am yesterday and is taking on more fluids. Fingers crossed :j

"Pay day" for me today (we always start the financial month with OH payday) I seem to have £200 more than my SMP. This is either the remainder of the SMP I'm due or a bit of tax back. I'm hoping for the latter - will check when my wage slip arrives in the post later.

Yesterday was a bit of a write off as LO was in need of constant cuddles (not that I mind :D) so batch cooking is on the agenda for today. Also need to give the kitchen and utility a good clean.

Myself and swagbucks appear to be friends for the time being and I'm well on my way to claiming a £5gc. If I could aim for at least 2 a month for the that would be a big help towards the remainder of Xmas pressies.

No spends planned for today although I'm guessing OH will need a supermarket at some point now he's eating properly again.

Have a good day all x

Glad your little one is picking up - there's nothing worse than when they're poorly.

I asked myself the same questions re vacs now all mine are at home. I still got them done though and just took the hit. I think I always will to tbh.

re slow cooker, do you still cook "winter" type meals in it even though we're finally (here at least) getting our Spring/Summer? I'm starting to feel at a loss for what to cook. I don't feel like stews and lasagnes when it's red hot outside and we're coming in from riding/teaching/chasing animals around :D
    Debt - CCV £3792

  • I would keep up the vaccinations too. restarting them is an absolute pain (in the bum and in the wallet) as some yards insist on it. (not sure if ever moving yards is one the cards) However my shetland is done every two years for tetnus, and the shot just cost me 28.00 (shared callout)
Have you tried sharing the visit cost with others on the yard, and speaking to the vet if they do it cheaper for cash? our vet will split the bill to 1/3 call out cost on account, but will reduce it to 1/4 call out charge is paid cash. def. worth asking.
Missing my money saving mojo. :o

    39.13/100/month - January 2018 make £10/day

That's what I was thinking of doing - just having them done for tetanus rather than the combined flu/tet.

Sooooo I've finally took the plunge and dyed my hair and I'm really pleased with it :D. That'll be £45 saved every 6 weeks from now on. The stuff I used was half price @ £4.99 in boots, so I might pop in and buy a couple more boxes.

I'm back on course with swag$ and have just claimed a £5 Amazon giftcard. I'm going to use these towards the remaining birthday and Christmas pressies needed. Did a quick check of my list and other than immediate family I'm about 80% of the way there. The plan is to buy the remaining non immediate family pressies using swag$, clubcard, nectar and boots to keep costs to an absolute minimum, especially now I have the little man to [STRIKE]spoil[/STRIKE] buy for too.

DF I've just been making Bol, chilli and lasagne in the slow cooker, there always handy go to meals and reasonably slimming world friendly. Not very summery I know but quick and easy!

Forgot to say, I checked my wage slip yesterday and it appears there are 5 weeks SMP in my wages. I'm guessing (hoping!) that this is to even things out as the way my pay day falls it means I've had a couple of 4.5 weeks months. According to my calculations I should have another 7 weeks SMP to come (or maybe 3- can't remember whether it was paid in advance or arrears - work never explaining anything about my mat pay grrrr!)

Bids have gone up to £14.20 overnight, so edging closer to the £21 target.

Right now little ones settled with OH I'm going to take the woofs for a nice long walk.

    Have a good day x

Hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine yesterday. We had a nice afternoon out at a local fete (which little one slept through!). Needless to say nothing's been done around the house so it's still a tip. Huge to do list to follow!

eBay sales last night netted £10, with another £9.20 finishing tonight. So won't be far off my weekly target.

Productive morning at the farm, all feeds and nets for the week done and the fields cleared.

I've signed up for a couch to 5k running course. It's 8 weeks long and £2.50 a session. I know it's unnecessary spend but I'm desperate to get back into my running and to have a little bit of me time. If I hadn't got dedicated times, it just wouldn't happen - so this seemed like the ideal solution. It will also help shift those last stubborn pounds, starts next week.

Right the huge to do list......
    1. Package and post eBay.
    2. Drop nappies of for friend
    3. Pop thank you wine round to another friend (she's given me a huge bag of clothes for DS :D)
    4. Kitchen and utility clean
    5. DS room tidy and put away clothes (he really needs to be in his own room now :( so need to get it ready in prep)
    6. Clear garden and cut grass
    7. Put away laundry
    8. Tidy out bedroom and change bedding
    9. Wash dog beds
    10. Sort garage and do tip run
    11. Look into switching gas and electricity supplier (don't think ours is any longer the cheapest, but need to bear in mind we have a £60 exit fee)
    12. List items in fb selling groups
    13. eBay drafts

    That'll do for now!

    Have a good day x
