Could this have anything to do with the Carly Mackie case in Dundee?

Yes, in that they are hoping that people will feel threatened into paying up with another fishing attempt. There's no legal similarities between your "invoice" and Carlys.
    And should I be worried?

Nah, DRP still can't do anything.

I wish I could put "likes" on this forum and not just "thanks". The jokes are great. It's about time I just laughed about this.

  • Parked in Palace Grounds, Hamilton, with wheelchair user who had forgotten blue badge. My car, but I wasn't driving. Had something to eat in KFC and came out to find ticket from Euro Car Parks on windscreen. Just had the first Zenith letter, offering a reduced charge to avoid court action. It's not easy to ignore them. Thanks to everyone posting here; you are an enormous help to a wee scaredy moose. I almost caved in today and just paid them. Keep the faith. FREEDOM!

A windscreen ticket in Palace Grounds?

I can't say I've ever seen a parking patrol in any of those car parks - retail park side or cinema side. I've always thought it was ANPR.

But as you've found, Ignore is the way to go in Scotland (provided you're the registered keeper - company car keepers may need to jump through a couple of hurdles).

It's just a letter. A piece of paper with words on it. They can do nothing other than send letters.

If a simple letter is enough to pressurise you into paying £100+ out of your wallet - send me your name and address!

  • Parked at free 2 hour car park Shawlands, Glasgow. Put ticket on dashboard which have done for years of parking there. Returned to car, exited carpark and when driving noticed a polythene bag appearing on bottom of windscreen. Stopped car and retrieved it - a parking notice fine for not displaying ticket. So untrue. This parking notice had NOT been attached under the windscreen wiper but hidden under the bonnet at the space at the end of the bonnet before the windscreen. If I hadn't stopped before reaching my destination it would have flown away and in time would have received payment letter "out the blue" and by then the machine ticket would have been thrown away. Great ploy! But I still have my ticket from the machine, no intention of paying.
