Yes, I am not going to appeal or do anything especially after all the advice I have been given from "the regulars" and the most formidable advice giver ever " My Mother".
Wood burner on order.
Thanks guys very much, especially so close to Christmas, when everyone is so busy.
Hope you all have a great Christmas, except Euro Car Parks!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Just received my fourth letter. Just in time for the New Year. Lovely! Advising court proceedings, AGAIN and quoting Supreme Court ruling, AGAIN. I remember one of the replies saying they were sailing pretty close to the wind quoting a case from a different country. It's obviously not worrying them too much!
Need to keep my nerve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Ignore them and eventually they will stop. That's all you need to do in Scotland.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Happy New Year, Looby.
You are approx halfway through now - I would expect you to receive another three letters - four at the most - each threatening yet more dire consequences of not giving these bloodsuckers your hard-earned cash.
I have a drawer full of these letters that I and my family have acquired over the years.
Keep your nerve is all you need to do and the will give up - they have no alternative, as long as you say nothing.
Remember this was NOT an offence - and you have NOT broken the law.0 -
I hope I'm doing this correctly, cos' I don't really have a clue about properly posting, and replying to the help given on this forum ( or any forum for that matter!). I have clicked the "Thank You" buttons of everyone who has replied but I would just like to say a huge thank you again to all the people who have taken time out of their busy lives to encourage me and give me peace of mind about this matter. Thanks, Guys.
I am overwhelmed.0 -
You've done it right, this is how to use a forum. We are all glad to have assisted; it's why we come here.
We can help with other queries but we are tired of the DRPlus and Zenith letter chain...so avoid telling us about those letters please and come back if you get anything different.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Gotcha, Coupon-mad.
Took me a while to work out what DRPlus and Zenith chain letters were (Duh) but I appreciate the advice. Thanks a lot.
Happy New Year to you.0 -
Has anyone else noticed a news report in Scotland regarding a guy called Edward Wales who was being taken to court by Combined Parking Solutions for unpaid parking fines? He settled out of court for £3000 and granted he had parked in the same car park 33 times! but it has got me a little worried.0
-
Yeah, we're pretty suspicious of the whole thing. The key point is that he settled for 60% of the requested amount, so it never went to court, no precendence was set, and the parking company were so confident in success they chose to give away £2k to avoid the court. Suspicions are that the motorist was a plant, as his post-court interview sounded like it'd be written by a PPC.
The articles read like a PPC puff piece and are full of inaccuracies.
So unless you've given away the driver, continue to ignore. The odds are astromonical against you having to defend it at court, and if you were do, it'd cost you pretty much the same as it would now, so it's really not worth the hassle.0
