    Please add me.

I will be aiming at £10 a day over the year, with a bit more to start with through a real ebay splurge.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Sorry - I'm a dinosaur - still on the old format. Hope you find the links :D

No more a dinosaur than I Lynnejk - but sometimes when they change the layout for no good reason, it's good to stay with that you know.

Clearly in this case it is ! Since I can't find a way into my signature in the new format I popped back and I can see that the old is rather "warmer" than the new. I'll pop back there to do my sig when I dig the figs out and make a decision whether to stay there or not .

Thanks so much for your help. x

They aren't new or special so I was going to sell them on Music magpie or ziftit?

Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

I've never used Magpie but I've used Zifit several times to sell books and found them to be very efficient. They pay quickly (within a week of posting in my experience).

Before Christmas I went through my books and CDs, comparing the price for each at Zifit and Webuybooks. I found that:

Generally Zifit paid more - for some CDs they were offering 30p where Webuybooks offered only 10p
For some of the paperback fictions, Webuybooks would buy them when Zifit wouldn't.

In conclusion I have 2 parcels, one for each but the Zifit parcel is about twice the size, and three times the value of the WeBuyBooks parcel. However the Oxfam parcel is bigger than the other two put together...

Remember to go via Topcashback for some extra cash, and check for voucher codes (there is a code for 10% extra on Topcashback at the moment).

I have a number of cds, dvds, games, and DS games to sell.

They aren't new or special so I was going to sell them on Music magpie or ziftit?

Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

I have used Musicmagpie before but that was a while ago. They were good tho.

I sold a batch of CDs recently and in every case MusicMagpie offered a lot more than anyone else:j. They now pay out by BACS the same day if they receive and check your items early in the day. All together they were very efficient but when I attempted to list a second batch I had one problem after another with the website. I emailed them and they replied that I needed to use a different browser instead of IE (which I'd used with no problems the first time!). As I'd wasted so much time on it already I just set the CDs aside. I'd already sold my best stuff, this lot are very low-value, but will have another go maybe.

I haven't sold anything else to them, just the CDs, so can't comment on prices etc
  • Count me in again this month (I think this is my longest streak three months in a row lol). I will go for £10 a day again.

This week has been pretty depressing as we have made the very difficult decision to apply for an IVA on our debts, as hard as we have been trying we have only just been managing to make the payments and out 0% just ran out (which I forgot was coming up) and we can't get another one (even though we have never missed a payment). I have written to Natwest and Barclaycard to see if they will freeze the interest in the first instance but I doubt they will agree to help.

So from a pretty miserable end to 2015 hopefully 2016 will be brighter and I can make lots of extra money to get us out of this hole.

    Good Luck everyone :) x

    Hmmm - interesting.

So does the postage come out of your sales, or do they pay the postage on top of the price for the books ? at 10p a time, it would be a big parcel, to even cover the postage wouldn't it ?

I wonder what they DO with these cheapies when they actually get them ? Clearly they must make a profit, but how ?
